it should probably be pronounced "ex" , like ex-coolest console or something 
But to be honnest ,I actually still like my old PS1/PSX/PS(whatever
) Games , it's a shame the actual console died on me a couple of years ago...which I find amazing since I had only had it since about 1996 compared to my SuperNes that I had since 1993-94 that still works to this day , but we won't go into that

Don't know what ass backwards 3rd world country you come from, but people have called PS1 PSX since as far back as I can remember.

PSX was the name of the prototype , then was accepted as the official name , then was used for a modified version of the playstation 2...so everyone wasl right.
