Ok I have been discussing with Detail about the idea of having super mods, it is odd forums not to have super mods, At revora the idea is based on freedom. Here we have very few levels staff who run the network and then a big jump to admins. My idea like a democracy Revora needs levels of authority network staff who maintain control like supervisors, super mods would take work of the admins help control the forums sort of like managers, then admins who are the bosses of the whole thing. So I propose we have a test of this idea, an experiment for 1 week to see how it would work.

This will bring democracy, control and stabality to the Revora network.

I see all of those things at the network now. There are 6 administrators who are global mods, and the moderators of the other forums. Why have one person who is responsible for the entire forum when you can have one person who is good at something and responsible for that forum about it?

Well, when it comes to writing an expository essay about counter-insurgent tactics, I'm of the old school. First you tell them how you're going to kill them. Then you kill them. Then you tell them how you just killed them.

Having 6 admins may be pratical, we can still have six admins Revora is a big place now super mods would take work of the admins. Having six admins also seems very totalterian not a democracy. Im glad you put that question to me. Im saying that someone who is good at RA2 editing would be put in control, someone who is good at HL2 editing would be in control and it would be a number of people, this will take work of the admins who can not be watching everything.

Why do they need super moderator powers though? They can manage the forums in their area of expertise, without having to worry about any other forums, or messing with someone elses. And just because there are a large number of admins does not make someplace totalitarian. We are always open to suggestions, and if you have an idea, it will be considered.

I keep telling you, Revora is not a democracy.

In a democracy; only 1 group wins.
Here at Revora we want everyone to win, so we aint a democracy.

The principles of social equality and respect for the individual within a community. That is one of the many meanings of democracy.

No offence Ali but this seems to be another ploy to try and get yourself back up to admin level through the mask of "Super Moderator".

I agree with MM 6 Admin is good enough, and Detail has just taken on several people as Staff to help with the payload so even more authority figures then there will be no normal members left in the community. Plus there will start to be more conflicting views and chaos will ensue ;)

Xeno you were one on my list of possible ones, and its not to get myself up to admin level (but thats another plus) why are people being so negative, can we at least try it.

There's really no point to have super moderators. Everything is under control as it is.

Ali does have a point if you ask me. Not that we need a supermod group, but it would make sense if staff could moderate the 'generic' forums. By this I mean the forums in the 'community', 'Revora' and 'Games' headers. Each forum has one or more hostees assigned as moderators, but these general forums only have the admins. So to me it would make sense to me if Staff could watch over those.

A normal forum would have 1 or 2 admins and roughly 4-5 supermods. Revora has 6 admins. What's the diff? Not all forums should be the same (or roughly the same... Like Ali's and Immo's avatars)
