Hey everyone,
This has been a long news post in coming, mostly due to us working on trying to get a new logo for Blitz II: TFH. I'm sure you all can forgive me.

Things continue to wrap up on R2.5, and practically all the visual work needed for it is complete. We have a large number of updated and/or replaced unit models and skins, as well as a bunch of scaling fixes. Most of our new particleFX are also done and ready.

For a bit of personal news, one of our top modelers, Killakanz, is off to play soldier in the British Army. He's in the 51st Highlands Regiment, B company. This group is part of the Territorial Army, similar to the American National Guard. He left for training on the 11'th. It's quite possible that he'll be spending time in Bosnia or Basra in the near future. I wish him all the best, as should all of you.

The list of bugs and balance fixes needed for R2.5 that's in the Blitz II: TFH Support Forum is rather barren - Come on people, post your grievances!

And, of course, the requisite render. On today's menu, the B-29 superfortress! This massive plane cost more to develop than the Manhatten Project. Though it could fly higher and faster than almost any fighter or interceptor in the war, it was still heavilly armed and very deadly. Its great altitude and speed put it out of range of most antiaircraft guns as well. Fleets of B-29s could fly their missions almost undisturbed by ground based forces. Most significantly, the B-29 is the only plane capable of dropping an atomic bomb in the game, and it will be used in the Allied nuclear bombing run.

Nice work, but I feel that on photos the B-29 looks bulkier. Could just be me though.

True. And it's historically accurate as well.

Many pre-teens and teenagers use the term 'gay' for something they think is dumb.

The Enola Gay is the name of the plane that dropped the atomic bomb on Hiroshima. It's too bad the plane cannot be coded to have turret guns to protect it.

It doesn't really need it. The B-29 flew above the ceiling of almost any flak or fighters. In Blitz 2 it will be almost impossible to shoot down, with Russia being utterly unable to defend against it, and the US and Germany having a small chance of success.

Well, when it comes to writing an expository essay about counter-insurgent tactics, I'm of the old school. First you tell them how you're going to kill them. Then you kill them. Then you tell them how you just killed them.
