Ai update by gouz

I will a good ai update as i promise BUT

-There is many difficulties for example

1)Corect Cpu use anti-misle systems (s300,patriot)
2)Build 2 bases from cpu
3)correct use anti radar systems(gap)
4)problem with build oil dericks
5)limit under to 20 units for cpu attacks


The new update will be create in last gouzgounis patch (in section donload it now)but will not require it.

All changes will be for scirmish games and Lan games and i don't use wayponits
because i play only radom maps.

i wait comments.(maybe this topic stay open).

I DON'T PROMISE A PERFECT AI PATCH BUT A GOOD AI UPDATE FOR MORE CHALLENGE

keep on doing this and they are gonna bann you/suspend you from code red, you are seriously impatience, why don't u just make your own mod or skillful one :huh:

Unoficiall patch for mod :huh: Code Red fan is going to make a patch :] Propably it's a 1st time ever I've seen :p.
@AG - If this patch could be good ,why not ;)?

already i have make a code red patch this ai update will be my second try to code red world.

1,3,4 and 5 are easy. Even a novice Ai scripter can do those. Sadly for you those little things won't increase the strength of the AI.

As for no.2 you may want to reconsider that one or do you really want to introduce the "Clone building" bug into CR? You know the one where the Ai starts building 2 powerplants at the same time, 2 weaponfactories etc.

This in turn leads to the infamous clone unit bug from the AI.
Whenever the AI builds a tank, that tank rolls out of each of the weaponfactories.

To make a long story short i'm open to all suggestions for improvement of the AI, but i suggest you leave the editing to those whom actually know what they're doing.

This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Andre 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.

My opinion is

1,3 is more hard from others

1How i will make ai to deploy anti-missle systems in strategy points in ascirmish map without weaypoints????
3 How i will make cpu with alf side to deploy radar vans in all point of map.



5 I don't think solve for now


But this is the problems 1,2,3,4,5

The basic add on is the more power attacks from cpu with Heros uses and use avandage and disavandage from gouzgounis update (Airplanes etc)

This update will be only for skillful players.

Okay, several issues here, and I want to address with with as few flames as possible (on BOTH sides please).

1) You can make all the AI updates that you want. They will not be uploaded or endorsed however, as they will be utterly obsolete. This is because there is going to be a change of the countries, units and gameplay style from the last version of Code Red.

2) If you flame ppl for working on Code Red after is has been quiet for so long, then you are frankly a fool. Nobody has done anything with it for ages, and now that I'm trying to do a proper job with it, I don't appreciate being flamed for it. This sort of attiude and arrogant behaviour is what caused a lot of problems with CR in the beginning, and I suspect is one of the reasons Darigaaz left.

3) If you still insist on complaining and making your own AI, don't parade around with grandiose statements about simple AI changes, or turn around and ask the Team for help after you've just insulted them.

4) There is already a GFX update pack and a small bugfix that I uploaded as a temporary patch to keep players going until the next release. Have you tried it?

5) There is a thread for the discussion of CONSTRUCTIVE comments: in it I've asked a *lot* of questions regarding what fans of CR think of the current version, so that I can see where attention needs to be focused most. If you have any suggestions, please add them in an appropriate manner (and please READ the topic before you post - a lot has already been covered).

6) Finally, the AA defences being anti-missile is a bit weak. In real life, there is not a shred of real evidence that AA systems like the Patriot are actually capable of shooting down ICBMs like SCUDs. In fact, after the Second Gulf War, it has emerged that the Patriots may have actually failed to shoot down any SCUDs at all! Either way, such AA will be effective against ICBMs in Code Red, but not very. The best way to destroy the threat will still be Airpower and commando raids/sorties (also as in the Second Gulf War). This is an example of the changes I intend to make to Code Red - better realism AND gameplay are what we're aiming for I think.
