A few people have been telling me they can't see Revora.

"I can't see Revora, but others can."

As others can still see Revora, it is not a server problem. As it is limited to a few people, it may be that a link between us an viewers is broken. This could be an ISP filtering us or a DNS problem or anything.

If you or someone you know have long times when you can't see Revora, please post here. So that we can find the broken link.

Hmm, I think this goes here. I'm currently at school and I'm having no problems connecting to revora, the hive or game-mod at all. It also works fine connecting with the FTP. But, when I'm at home, it's like I'm not allowed to connect to the server at all. Neither with the FTP-client nor the browser. It's the same ISP for both the school and my apartment and I think it is as good as the same network overall. It's the local government who owns the connection. It's about 350 yards to my home from here. So, I'm starting to wonder if the ip or something is blocked for me at home? I also thought it might have been my computer, but I reinstalled it a day ago and the problem still exists. Hope this is descriptive enough.

Cheers~

What IP address do you use at home? I need that to check if there is an issue.

Well, when it comes to writing an expository essay about counter-insurgent tactics, I'm of the old school. First you tell them how you're going to kill them. Then you kill them. Then you tell them how you just killed them.

Mastermind, it isn't the IP. Because I know that the IP rules and the settings for other files are stored in System / System 32 folders. Seeing as Denny stated he reinstalled Windows it can't be the ISP. What may be the problem is the browser. For example that the Revora Network has a script in it which is not opened by for example AM / Crazy Browsers or Firefox Browsers. If that's the case, they abort the action of loading the page and state that no connection can be available if the script is very early in the coding. Or they say a script can't be managed if it's opened later. In order for that theory to get solved a few users should install browsers. (all kinds and versions) and go the page. If the problem lays in the browser, it will come out by that test. If it isn't, you can Tune Up to uninstall the program.

Another option may be that there is fault in their files for internet. So I recommend using Tune Up to resolve it. By all it's scans. (You can find downloads for it by googling for 'Tune Up Utilities' preferable the 2004 version or the 2005 version. You've find flaws either way with this seeing as there are 6 flaws in Win XP installation.

Just some theories on it, seeing as problems in files accure often and the browser flaw just shoot in my mind.

It's possible it is an IP issue with the firewall on our side. There have been some issues with hostees getting locked out by my brute force detection scripts. That is the main vector that I can look at to resolve this. I can't fix issues on his computer, I can only examine things on my end.

I don't know the IP, I'm not at home or at school at the moment. But, I'm using the exact same browser at both places, firefox that is. I have also tried Internet Explorer at home as well. :/

Without an IP there's not much I can do to help you. I need that information to check my various security setups.

You could type 'cmd' in the start --> execute (or was it another word, my Windows is Dutch, I can't remember exactly which word they used). You'll see a DOS-window appear. Type 'ipconfig' and it'll display your IP and some other statistics. Of course it only works when you have a connection to the internet, ie if I disconnect my dial-up connection, it says IP is 0.0.0.0, which doesn't help much.

I don't know what you guys did. But after the reformat of that server, it seems I can connect to all the places again. :O
