That's what I meant. If you filter out all unwanted aspects such as those, you wouldn't have much of a population left to work with...

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Which is even better.

Smaller population = More resources per person = less polution = more happiness = less "hustle and bustle"

Its a win/win....win...win..win situation!

I guess that's true. In a few decades it'll be time for a mass purge anyway. Unless we're conquered by the Martians.

Problems on earth: Humanity needs to unite a one, not have these borders that stop us progressing. What does that mean? Whether we united in Fascism, communism, socialism we have to unite without capitalism. As long as everyone is out for themselves we will never unite, because it only generates hate and more problems. In our lifetime we will never see a change, i myself believe the next century will be about the collapse of capitalism into a new system where the world becomes more understanding of its problems. We will start educating our young properly. What needs to happen is people need to work together to get further rather than blowing each other up with bombs. THis world will not last much longer with 6billion+ of us on it, if we all want to survive we do need to find other planets which we can destroy over time... Or learn to respect and understand.... Which i'd prefer. Leaving it to corporations to get us into space will only slow us down by hundreds of years.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

This is precisely why I say we need one person, one nation, or one group, to stand up...and ignite the flames of war and bring this divided globe under a single flag with the abolishment of all national borders.

We need a single world goverment, A single council that can decide upon and dictate global policy.

We need to be united as all the children of Terra, So that we can put aside petty ideals and strive for the greater goals of mankind. Solar System Travel, Planetary Colonization, Inter Stellar Travel, ect ect.

We're to busy watching what our neighbors are doing, and investing in weapons to destroy them, that we can't raise our heads to the sky above and set it as our absolute goal.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Please, if we had a world dictator, even I would plot his assasination.

Also not to mention, to say that space travel is our ultimate goal is like saying the meaning of life is to eat. It's incomplete, and we cannot speculate as a race on our own meaning until we have discovered unified field theory. Sorry. Big advocate of the unified field theory thing.
No space travel until unification.

I never said a dictator.

I said a single man, to conquer the globe.

Then I said a council to run and dictate global policy.

So we're looking for a Julius Caesar who will just willingly give his power up to a council of weak minded politicians who will get nothing done? (See the UN)

The UN is a bad example.

Since its nothing but a meeting ground for member nations.

Its not a ruling council, nor can it dictate what people must do.

But it tries. It has passed millions of resolutions, hell it told Iraq to pull out of Kuwait in 1991, you know what Saddam did? He laughed.
They told Russia to leave Afghanistan in the 80s. They laughed too.
Told the US to not go to Iraq. Laughed.
The UN is a piss poor organization with no real point.

I simply think uniting the countries under one democratic council would be better, they still retain their identities and can discuss issues peacefully and fairly. not only that, but there is no way capitalism is going away, its a fundamental part of many countries, especially the ones with nukes.

A world council will be the ONLY goverment. There will be no national goverments, There will only be the world parliment.

And if someone violates the global parliment, then that council has the authority to call in the United Terran Millitary to rectify the situation.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Dude.

Stop reading around selectively.

First step.

Decimate the major Nations armies in a world war. This can be lead by a person, a nation, a group of people, ect.

Second Step.

Conquer all nations, Either with military force, or force their total surrender by the threat of military force.

Third Step.

Pick a good location and build a globla house of parliment. While doing this you negotiate or militarily subdue any rising opposition.

Fourth Step.

Set up the global council, By this time if the person doing this is just, the people will see the good he is doing...and flock to him like a messiah.

Fith Step.

Global Council Initialized. 25 people who reprisent the largest portions of the human species set global Law and policy while the United Terran Army is formed, equiped, and trained.

Sixth Step.

By now people will see your methods are just and you are not a decimator nor a dictator. People will less likely be against your rule.

Seventh Step.

All former nations are appointed a Regional Governor whom does little more then micromanage his domain. He reports directly to the council and can make no move without their aproval. The people bring their problems to him, and he takes them to the council.

Should this regional governor become corrupt, the people can bypass him and go straight to the council if required.

Eith Step.

Global Peace, a united global effort in the search for the cure to Cancer, AIDs, Hepititus, And all other modern plauges

Ninth Step.

United Terran Republic launches its first colony ship towards Mars, to expand its ideals of peace and knowledge to Mars.

Tenth Step.

Stasis Colony Ship directed towards our closest Neighbor, Alpha Centauri.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Which is why its a council, and not a single leader.

They will keep others in check.

And the fact that they would be cycled out regularly...say...every 5 years or so. Not everyone at once, but indevidually, to prevent the council from suffering from a total lack of experiance.

The cycle would be a democratic vote by all people of the world, If they feel someone is corrupt, vote them out.

If they feel someone is just, keep them in.

Makes sense to me. Now all we need is an impartial leader to create an army large enough and more technilogically advanced than every country on the face of the earth.

All you need is superior tactics.

Time would also help. After a generation of people living under this the newer generation would slowly become ignorant and accept it as a way of living, it happens with all. I like Koma's plan but i dislike the fact people would have tp pointlessly die to get it. Again a major problem is the world has 6billion humans there was never supposed to be this many but lets blame our intelligence for that :)
