I feel that the old inactivity rule is not working as well as it could.

In-active, Disruptive or Problematic Sites:
Client agrees that in the event The Hive feels that their site has released no intresting content for over 1 month, or reaches a status that The Hive sees to be disruptive or problematic, then The Hive has the right to suspend/remove that site immediately, without notification.

Thats the new rule.
This applys to everyone hosted.

For those who can't make screenshots it's: consept art, logos, unit information, map designs, 3D models preview, audio samples, previews. Basicaly, you have to release something once a month.

A good screenshot.
This screenshot good points:
- It's not huge and slow loading (600x500)
- It has the mods name (Second Dawn)
- It has a breif description in the image (Establish Beachead/in-mage shot)
- Intresting terrain
Bad points:
- Black lines at top and bottom are a bit too big
- Units are to small to see, so a zoomed box for them would help
- No project logo
- No project site address

You have 1 month since you last news post to release an intresting content.

HL2 projects are included, as you can release consept art or just player/unit information.

Do releases have to be public?
TFH has alot going on behind closed doors but not much in public view,

Yes. It must be a public release.

There are exceptions, like your Remember the Silence and BlackMissile.

this shouldnt apply to anyone modding for the HL2 engine tho, considering we have very little to work with.

as for content, there have been times when new screenys were added to our gallery weekly and sometimes daily so i guess we make up for that :)

dont look for any new content to be released publically within the next few months,
all of us are quite busy trying to get our stuff in order for the SDK release. (soon we hope)

I know you said everyone, but does that include BlackMissile?

I mean it still gets quite a few downloads every week, its not like its completely inactive.

What im saying is Im not planning to add anything new or anything, i think it's okay as it is and adding new info wont make a difference.

So are you seriously saying that Blackmissile, small as it is and not disruptive in any way will be deleted if i dont add something new within a month?? :blinky:

Ah thats cool then :blinky:

I should really check out the rules, but there werent that many back in the day when origin was young :min:

I suppose as things grow, more rules have to be laid down or else theres just chaos.

blackmissile was a pretty good mod from what i remember. just it was suicidal to play with more than 1 ai, unlesss you got a monster machine... I was lagging like crazy there were so many units on that battlefield! Pretty good mod though, although I usually don't have my ra2 cd in the drive (usually yr when I wish to play ra2), but I will have to pull it out again. wish I could see more than just 1 finished mod here at ori.

Tomorrow I'll post 2 new screenshots to reset my month of inactivity of my project :blinky:

Maybe you should use place holders or try re-colouring some other voxels.

This is good, cause it will make me more motivated to work on the mod :blinky:
One question though, is it a forum update or website update or booth?

Well, if I update the site I post about it in the forum, but I usually don't do it the other way around..

It's a website content addition.
The old rule was add news once a month, now it's add content once a month.

Posting about your new content in your forum will help your forums activity.

I've got some new drawings to scan, but only a few. I like to post 'em in big chunks. I am also half way through a little War Story thing, so I can post that when I am done with it.
