I really need to understand you more ali, your intellect is either way too superior for any human being to understand or your way to dumb to noticed the difference between tory lies and labour anti-tory propaganda.

On top of that, the next 5 year period will probably see a vote on entering the euro, destined to fail and further degrade labour support as well as a vote on the European Constitution which will also no doubt turn out poorly for Labour. In all, this is a good election to lose and I hope Labour wins so everyone can see that their years in power haven't been all that great.

BTW if you want labour to win, why did you vote tories?
Power hasn't been great? They've given more to this country that tories ever have. The workers need looking after as well, not the greedy little pigs at the "top" or what they like to call the top.

Labour want to give more power over the EU and make us a part of Europe. When the europeans actually do something for us I might consider supporting a pro-Europe policy.
*Edit* Exit polls suggest a 66 seat majority for Labour, not a very good result for them.

As for liberals, i think its pretty unfair imo, yet one day, they will get in, whos knows about the next 5 years. I'm hoping as time goes on people realise their ignorance to believing conservative lies and the imminant threat from ignoring global warming and many other things in the world.
For now i'm going to support blair and his attempts to begin the "make poverty history" campaign in africa.

As for the Lib Dems, that shouldn't be given power at any cost. While it marks it's tax changes as progressive it actually hits Middle England hardest. Higher earners can afford accountants to swing it so they won't pay 60% tax and those not earning over £100,000 wont pay it. As for local income tax, another way to hit middle england hardest. People don't realise that higher tax rates don't mean more tax income. There is a fine balance between income and rates, if rates go up, people leave and take their taxes with them. The only reason Lib Dems have done well this election is the War on Iraq. Nearly all the Lib Dem gains were in Labour held seats. The majority of Lib Dem voters weren't voting for Lib Dem, they just didn't want to vote for Labour and wanted to stuff Labour over. And that's exactly what we have.

As for the liberals, i think in this election they hit the nail straight on the head. People are just too stupid and selfish to realise. Politics shouldn't be about money. Your money will mean nothing to you when your dead. Politics should be able the future, the future of the country, of our world and mankind. The high tax rates is so the dems could increase spending and do things that are needed. An education reform is desperate needed, the environment definately needs safe guarding. Labour and tories do nothing for the environment, the tories are the worst however.
No one is going to care about 50% tax rates if an ice age start in another 50 - 100 years or even as tornadoes become more frequent and ripping up their houses. Ignorance and greed is just ruining peoples ways of thinking straight. Forget tories, they are dumb, forget labour, they are too slow. IMO, liberals would take us forward faster than labour could.

The Conservatives will never win. Ever. You only have to look whenever Michael Howard is speaking and see that almost everyone there is over 60.

It also means Labour can't just force bills through relying on sheer number of MPs. WHich can be good or bad - if Blair hadn't forced through the ban on foxhunting and wanted to do it now, it'd be tricky getting it through the commons and absolutely impossible getting it through the house of lords.
