Well tell how much support I have for people who may be interested on seeing how far I can push the limits of the game. Is this mod of any interest to you all?

These are either model screenshots or WB screenshots, though some is already coded into the game.

Everyone flamed me for thinking of doing the undead mod. It would have been cool I promise but too much negative comments. I do have the working skeleton infantry. Maybe I should at least post that? But back on topic. BSG: The Cylon Wars.

Can you feel it? I promise it will be as cool as I can make it. :)

well i gathered some information on BattleStar and read that topic and it really looks good :p
i will for sure try it out, and please, even though some Tolkien crazies are gonna flame you again, dont give up ! :)

I'm past the point of no return now. I have people besides me who modeled and skinned so I can't just say it's my time lost like the undead faction. Screaming Cricket remodeled a viper I have from Menace. (No two differant models entirely) Meaning Meanaces version was too high polie and will be used for cinamatic intro shellmap and banner artwork.

Screaming Cricket started on the BSG model that is posted. I have just a rough draft for rigging purposes. VERY looking forward to that piece as BSG should be the signature model of the mod. I'm just glad to have someone as good as SC to be interested in doing it.

We are past the point of playing around ow. It is a mod in progress. :)

See pabyf WIP on the Palantir display and SC skinned version of the viper. :p

these models look awesome but then i thought, the whole thing happen in space so you are gonna need to edit all maps do you ? or will there be space/earth fights ? :)

a space mod in this kinda game format will it work
i mean what kind of heros will you have and bases if any and evenstar powers how will they work
man if this works its going to be a freakin awesome conversion you will be like a god of modifcation to take a game platform like this one and convert it in to a space game is just to cool i mean its not like your taking any thing away from LOTR your just use the format from the game so no harm to LOTR just another freakin awesome mod on the list of mods for the game i say good luck and godspeed cant wait tell iam in a viper taking out a cylone base star OOOOOOyeah

It's entirely doable, and at one point I was considering shifting my 'Blood Amongst the Stars' to BfME from ZH. It's actually very easy to do, just a lot of work. It's even better when enhanced with formations granted by BfME, the only reason I've not switched is that my locational damage and infinite turret hacks won't work in BfME.

Nice terrain textures Hostile, where did they come from, and how are they so smooth? lol. In ZH I'm having issues making them appear graphically as beautiful as they should. Also, if you want a few nebula / swirly galaxy editables, then just give me a shout, I picked up a huge library full from the Hubble FTP :p

its obviously a total conversion, so everything would be changed.

the powers would just be like generals or something similiar e.g. nebular cloud provides armour bonus as hides ship like when enterprise tries to hide from borg cube.

hero's could be legendary fighter ships or mother ships etc.

resource collection would be odd (i.e. the tree gathering logic)

Mining is alread on the menu, just instead of tree models they will be asteroids with alittle something to distinghuish them from useless asteroids.

The space textures are made by me in PS. They are just placecard textures. I'll do better later on. Nebulae are easily done using the existing textures with an edge out button click.

The nebulae will be impassable terrain. But advanced ships will have locomotors that will allow you to travel through them later in the game.
