It used CARTRIDGES, in a world where the CD-ROM had already been crowned king. Yes it had GoldenEye, Perfect Dark and [GENERIC ZELDA GAME]...but the only people now who make games for Nintendo is...um...well, Nintendo.

The Revolution will not bring back the glory days. Ninty should stick to the handheld market. Aside from the DS, it holds all the cards there. The DS just sucks, though, so...

Nintendo need to release games that are NEW, not just rehashes. I mean, Mario 35TOUCHEDZ0R! won't do anything revolutionary that its predecessors didn't. Nor will Zelda: Desk-Lamp of Mystery...

It needs new ideas. Like Advance Wars (which prolly shoulda stuck to GBA...though I hope they do release some sequels ON the GBA).

Sony hold the market totally, though I am much more skeptical than AG as regards price. The PS2, despite production line technology, was £300 when first released. They also intentionally underproduced to keep the price up.

And if the PS3 has only TWO controller ports, well...*shakes head* they're puddled.

The PS3 uses bluetooth technology for it's controllers; they're wireless. Chances are it'll be for 4 players upwards.

But nowhere near as cheap, have as good storage space, are as easy to produce... back in the Megadrive or Gameboy days, carts were good. But times have moved on. It's like AudioCassette when CD is there.

The PS2 may have been overpriced and such, but fortunately I got mine free so I'm not complaining. It can still play DVDs and play my old Playstation games, plus it's the only system that Namco makes the Ace Combat series for (actually I don't think Namco makes any games for anything but Sony systems and arcades), so I doubt I'll be using any other console system.

The wireless controllers on the PS3 sound like an excellent idea. Although I wonder if the PS3 will have a recharge station or something similar for the controllers, as the idea of spending lots of money on batteries for a wireless controller is not very appealing to me.

Lol, it's alright for some And no, Namco don't make games for anything else anymore. They used to make for Sega back in the day (Pac-Man series, mainly). Is AC05 any good? I am unsure whether to get it in case it's just an AC04 clone (although I love AC04, it's pointless to have 2 games the same).

Yeah, I see your point there...I'm not sure I like the idea of wireless controllers. I dunno why, but it just seems a bit odd to me.

The controllers plug into any USB slot [ Either one of the 6 on the PS3, or one on your PC/MAC/Laptop ] to recharge its internal battery.



On full charge the controllers should play for almost 24 hours straight.

I still feel safer with them plugged into the machine, tho. I'm the sorta person who would go up to the TV to change the channel/volume if the TV actually allowed me to.
