Is there a maximum number of spells that you can have in the spellbook? I have 10 spells coded but only 8 show up.

Well, the user interface window only has eight slots in it :ninja:!
You'd need to modify that first before you can include more spells.

I believe that propriatory software to make those so you can't do it. At least that's what it was last time I checked.

Have a look at deezire's mod, the factions have 10 spells in it.
I think they changed "spellstore.apt". I don't know how though.

Deezire is able to change things like that since he has the software due to some ties with EA (I'm not entirely sure what they are but I think he has done some work for them in the past).

From what I've seen, Deezire, hexedited the spellstore.apt, and swapped multiplayer and singleplayer over, so while you then have 12 in multi player, single player/ campaign no longer works.... :ninja:

Yeah, I think you can actually just swap them over if you're cunning enough, although if you do want SP to work, why not just have everything using the SP template, rather than swapping 'em.
I'll look into apt editing sometime soon, it could probably be useful considering the amount of them there are.

if he had switched trees, then no need to hexedit spellstore.apt since the spelltrees already have 12 spells in campaign, right ? :ninja:

that's what I said.. he's switched multiplayer and single player over in the apt file (theres no way to do it with just the ini's), so the one that has 8 now has 12 and the one that had 12 doesn't work right.. i think.. I looked into his files cause I wanted to know how it was done, and thats the only differences I could find anyhow.
