Well, the point of this page was to point out America's Christian extremists. Even two Presidents (coincidentally with the same surname) are extremists. Like you CJ, I was aghast about halfway through... amazed that people have the audacity to say this kind of thing.

This becomes a major issue when trying to attract atheists to follow religions. Each has a handful of people that ruin the experience for non-believers and even those who believe in it themselves. I'm sure that some people are embarassed to be a part of the Christian faith given what these people have said.
