You should be able to just delete the files, and then go into the registry manually and find the correct keys to remove.

Well, when it comes to writing an expository essay about counter-insurgent tactics, I'm of the old school. First you tell them how you're going to kill them. Then you kill them. Then you tell them how you just killed them.

Too cute! | Server Status: If you can read this, it's up |

Thanks, that at least I knew. BUT if the whole game crashes when uninstalling then it is not possible to use traditional uninstall. So I thought DELETE the whole folder. Suffer the consequences of not having key registry updated by uninstall and blah blah blah. You know Microcrash...would you recommend it if nothing else works? If not I'll just reformat. :urg:

Uninstall usaly only deletes the files that were installed. If you made a new date/ini/weapons.ini file it would not be uninstalled.
Even after your re-install that file is still there, making problems for you.

Rescue any maps or files you want a delete the whole C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Command and Conquer Generals foler. Theres also the C:\Documents and Settings\David\My Documents\Command and Conquer Generals Data folder, which holds alot of stuff. You just need to check over anything before deleting.

I remeber patching Jedi Knight to 1.5. When i went to play LAN everyone had 1.0, so i uninstalled, then re-installed. It still said i had 1.5. Caused 10 mins of hassel till we found out the old patch files were not being removed.

Well it seems my ZH is so wacked that I cannot even uninstall it. What would happen if I just delete the whole folder and reinstalled? Would I active the self destruct sequence on my comp? :)

Well I did the most logical thing. I deleted the whole folder. Then Uninstalled the program. That allowed me to do that. I reinstalled the program and walla!!! Still didn't work. Whatever story of my life I needed to reformat anyway! :)
