Alright, in my opinion, the late game (atleast against the computer) just becomes a competition to see who can use the AotD or the Balrog best. I only ever use the AotD to counter the Balrogs that are constantly being sent at my base. I'm too worried to use them any other time because a Balrog coming at me means a loss of a gate and citadel atleast (and as a turtle-player, this stings). I also find that these two powers just kill whatever immersion you may get out of this game.

So, I propose to you the above options. I'm most comfortable with just replacing them with existing powers (ala, add Eagles to Rohan, Ents to Gondor, Darkness or Scavengers to Isengard, Freezing Rain to Mordor [though I'd probably just make a totally new power for them anyway]). I can make new powers, but I have a lot on my plate as is...

However, this mod is for you guys, so if you really like these two spells, I'm willing to leave them in.

I think Balrog and AOTD are fine as they are. They come out at the same time, and are pretty well balanced. Maybe you could make AOTD slightly better against buildings, so the can do the same job as the blarog.

Elves shouldn't have AOTD as the ultimate power though. Something different.
Anything later then now isn't soon enough.

My suggestion, as I know I will be doing this for MME, is to create a different ultimate spell for each side. So, for elves, have a different one then AOD.

I agree, all sides should have an individual ultimate spell

lmao. Well this has been helpful. We're in a dead lock between the two extremes: leave them as is, and make completely new powers.

I think I suggested this for another mod,

Illuvatar's blessing

Reveals full map with no FOW for the elves and spawns [place uber elven unit here] in random places all over the map

That would be incredibly cool, but incredibly difficult as well (the random spawnage). I do have an Elven ultimate power in mind at the moment (as well as one for Mordor and one for Gondor). I may do some concept work on them and post them up sometime in the near future.

i think you suggested that for Nick's mod ;)
anyway, you can use the Palantir Logic (i know you love that one Celeglin) and make it spawnable from the citadel (like the spellbook triggers a commandbutton in the citadel) and then through the wonders of USE_OWNER_OBJECT you would spawn a ping (the palantir object) with a vision range of 9999999999. Then simply code an attribute modifiers

In the fellowship of the ring there were those horses on water that were summoned. That could be an ultimate spell using same sort of lighting effects as army of dead?

This ish my favourite mod so I wanna help ^^ well for an ultimate power...i'm just kind of dragging this one out of The Third Age, the other EA games thing but for Xbox. The Elf in the game had this really really literally, life saving power that is really cheap but useful. As a ultimate....why not, well I guess this would be really hard but you enchant an area full of your units, and when they die the first time, they revive with full health, and then they're vulnerable to death again.

That would be incredibly cool Rhiea, but incredibly difficult as well :p . Mostly because respawn codes are very, very fickly to work with. However, I may be able to work something out of this idea you've given me. Thanks :) .

Well I don't like how they can get the Balrog...maybe I don't know much bouts LOTR but it's just that if Mordor and Isengard can summon the Balrog, why not they summon it in the Black Gate? Minas Tirith? Isengard when it's bout to fall? and also the Balrog is not powerful enough, if you summon oathbreakers and just surround it, it dies really quickly, and there' sstill time to pwn everything lol.

Odder for me, when I summon AOTD and attac a Balrog, they all just stand on the balrog and do nothing, same for the Balrog
