[Shine On]

Well i've been given the task by AG to remove all the text and grey blocks from the RA2/YR building Cameos.

As a result i'm attempting to restore the original pictures. And here are some of the result. Once i complete all of these i'll release this as Cameo pack. This way people can re-name the original building cameos with ease.

Pointless? Maybe, but someone has to do it

Xeno, you are truly a genius. all RA2 modders will be delighted with this, including me. your nomination as a senator was not a bad idea, and i think that you definintely do more stuff like that because of your obvious capabilites.

Maybe you could do the Terror Drone, because I would enjoy one very much, as well as anyone else who is using the terror drone shp, or one like it, as something else.

Good idea, might be useful to Hooligan with his super capture pack mod.

Do you just remove the text manually, lighten the darkened areas then fix up where the text was?

Lighten the Darkened areas and themn manually fix up the areas.

Fairly easy for anyone who knows how to use PSP, but making it look nice where the text once was can be tricky

Although I dunno if it's just me, but it looks like you missed a spot on the Prism Tower cam at the bottom of the image.

UPDATE

All 50 Cameos have now been finished and are now in their Raw format

Here is the Pack for download. All files are in PCX format and have been palletised. So all you need to do it edit them accordingly and convert them

Soviet Shipyard
Psychic Dominator
Soviet Battle Lab
Soviet Refinery
Allied ACH
Gattling Cannon

I mean mainly those places without text as they look messed up a bit.

You can tell which ones i did first can't you

Hoever the Allied ACH was a REAL bitch to do, i had to near enough create it from scratch. However i'll try and clean up those others.

Not bad and all, but where the text used to be looks like it was overwritten in *shudder* PAINT.

Not in all cases prime, Like i said i tried to fix alot of them by hand, and unless you have the original pictures at hand its alway gunna look fairly shitty. So i tried my best...

...Whenever i get better at PSP i'll re-do the cameos to an even better quality but i don't think i can do that much better.

Ok (Sorry for double posting) i have now touched up 4 out of 6 of those cameos which needed to be re-attempted. I restored those cameos pixel by pixel and im very pleased with the final result

However The Allied Aircraft Command Center i cannot do anymore to and the Gattling Cannon is as good as im gunna get it
