What about the (Mechwarrior I think) style bar. The one that shows different parts of the mech in different colors (green, yellow, red) depending on how much damage they have, so you have to avoid assaults from the left or back or whatever.
Just a thought

The mechwarrior system is kinda like a much more polished version of this, if i remember correctly.
Red being heavy damage, orange medium heavy, yellow light and green no damage.

Green - Full
Yellow - 60%
Red - 50%
Brown (Flashing) - 25%
Black - Destroyed

Yeh, but it gives health for the seperate places on the mech.

Well itsn ot like CC its works like this (im a BIG MECH FAN)
YOu get shot in the arm it gets hurt and mabey destryed but the rest of you wont notice the diffrence you wil mabey loose a few wapons from that arm but thats it and you know if your arm is read you shoude try and not get hit in that side eny more and thats about it i hope it made eny sens
