Example Scenario:
Product A costs 500.
Pirate copy costs 10.
Only one person in 10 can afford this product. Therefore only one person buys. it. The other nine get it pirate-copied for 10.
Product B costs 50.
Five out of 10 can afford this product. Therefore four buy it (because 1 is a tightass ), and the other six get it pirate-copied for 10.
Product C costs 20.
All of them can afford it. Seven buy it (because 3 are tightasses), the other three get it pirate-copied for 10.
The cheaper something is, the less likely it is to be copied, because there's less incentive to get the pirate copy when for not much greater a price, there's a perfectly good legal copy which looks better and has the manual and everything.
