Do the words "don't be short sighted" mean anything? Expand your horizons... science is a good investiment. And depending on the material of the comet, it can end being usefull for global warming as well ... although it's much better to find out our origins... and know better the universe we live at...

And, Koma, you could have used some better wording. There was no need to insult. You don't need to lower yourself... for nothing... or a stupid discussion. Honestly, I hope I won't see this kind of thing from you again.

Oh, so being somewhat realistic makes me an idiot, does it? I'm not short-sighted or ignorant. I'm actually pretty open-minded, but there is some lunacy in the world.

We need to look at what WE ARE DOING WRONG. It's a glaring and obvious issue. And we need to look at how to cut down on that and make that better, instead of hoping that the heavens will save us. That God's divine hand will send us a comet laden with a rosetta stone/Tacitus which will let us fight world hunger and make everything hunky-dory.

I appreciate and understand that science and innovation are good investments. I have never said they aren't. I just believe that Earth should come first, and we need to work for a solution rather than expecting one to come to us. We worked damn hard to fuck the planet up this much, we can work to solve it too if we choose.


EDIT: I have a low tolerance of assholes too, Koma, but I'm trying to be reasonable despite everything that's kicked off. However if you wish, I too can resort to childish and idiotic insults. Why don't you try telling me how crashing into a comet can save us, instead of telling me to go fuck myself?

Next what they need to do is get a probe with a camera to attach its self to a comet so it can take pictures of the galaxy and transmit them back to us.

isn't that what the roseta probe is on its way to do ? its going to attach itself anyway dunno about the camera part....
