Yeah, I think it's great when someone decides to change things up. That's what it's all about. The lasers need work but they do look like lasers....

Personally, I think they're quite ugly as it stands (well, probably not so bad when the're moving, lol).
Definitely needs work, but the basis is there

Look like perfect blaster bolts to me... blue one could do with a brighter core... can't see the problem myself.. look like they do in the movie...

They look ok, but i think you will find that laser bolts are more white in the core, try using 'moving lightsabers' and they dont usually dont have such long trails, they are very definate. Ive got a pic i will show you

Image of lasers

Thers the link :p

You can see they are very definate and that they have no trials and a white core

Actually, I think, looking at it, the visual effect will probably improve if you scale them down a lot to the sort of size they should be. Don't make 'em larger, make smaller and to scale, and it might look nicer

Common misconception. As anyone who does Star Wars FX will tell you, blaster bolt cores are a brighter version of the glow colour.

I'm not totally sure on the exact name, you have to check the ini reference for it to be exact.

shorten them sounds good to me.. id unno if you need to make them wider, but one thing i deffinitly think needs to be done is take off that fading off the back of the lazer, if i remember right arent they just tube with rounded corners?

It's actually a simple TGA file, just make a red streak or something with some highlights.
