If you show me a concept drawing of what sort of models are needed I might be able to bring my copy of RenX out of retirement.

Another A4.
Near the bottom i've put a shpere which has crashed into the ground.

The UC (Siphon) shoot there Command Cores the the battle field from there command Carryers in space. There black spheres with 1 hole for the dozer to exit from.

Daz, could you make a low polly sphere which looks like it's been shot from space (crater around it sort of thing)? As it's in the desert you need the creator to look sand. I think the black shpere will be easy, but the sand might be hard. Can you do it?

Well it shouldn't be too hard, it's amazing what you can make of a model when it's got a good skin. Only thing with the sphere would be that when they get lower poly the "side" turns into sides. If there's only going to be one or two it won't matter if it's moderately high though.

I had a quick go at a "black light tank", it seems ok for a 2 minute job.
I'll transfer my generals modding stuff onto this PC (RenX, uvwunwrapping script, etc) tomorrow and i'll see if it looks better with a skin.

I'll leave it to you'r judgment what you concider be be a sphere. You could always make it rounder if you have a low poly count after the sand has been added.

 I'll draw a big version of the Black Light tank tonight, one which shows all the detail and workings of the tank.

Good idea, i couldn't get much from the tiny pic on there lol.

Edit: After some experimentation with the sphere idea, I can get a reasonably good model with a poly count of 700.

This is not going to be a mod with huge maps and huge building which dont fit anywhere, so don't worry to much about poly counts.

The sphere should be as wide as 2 china power plants next to each other, but not as hight.

:so: Are you sure?
This sphere has be shot (via a cannon) from space, so the shpere does not require any engines for movment.

As it's a sphere with the same width as a 2 china power plants next to each other it's would be smaller than the pp's as there square. This is from the idea that a circle fits in siade a square. *goes to make example*...

As shown, the circle does fit within a square.
Therefore a sphere would fit within a cube. The cube being 2 china power plants.

Another A10 with Black Light tank info.

There are 2 teams, Siphon and Ticks.
Each team will have 4 buildings and 5 tanks.
All maps will be in the desert.
Each map will have 4 oil rigs.
Thats about it - if this can be made i'll plan more units and buildings.

Any coder would be good. Read the "coding" topic for more info.

Please put ideas in another topic.
