As I don't have the sources at hand please explain these for me :

Most likely Conceal,Embolden , Entangle, and Power Weapons (in that order I hope) for the Warlocks. With Fortune and Eldritch storm for the Farseer.

Just FYI this is the Eldar research order I used for my own testing (never posted this now I think about it):-

Are you sure its eldar_farseeeldar_farseer_ability_research2 and not eldar_farseer_ability_research_2 ?

I like this order better so I will use it too. Any recommendations to improve are fine.

I just wonder, what with Fleet of Foot and their hit/run strat, if Eldar wouldn't benefit from getting their damage upgrade before their health. I don't know how real Eldar players tend to play it though.

In theory, either or does the trick. Health upgrade means they can run and suffer few losses, making those 30 req guardians go even further, and pumping even more damage out of them. Damage upgrade means they kill more stuff before they have to run. The only time I'd put one above the other is if I'm fielding a lot of DRs, in which case damage upgrade is best due to their incredibly long range. They'll eat SMs\CSMs for breakfast (though a quick guardian rush\harass fixes CSM right and proper anyways, hell, bonesinger harass gets the job done).

Since FoF ensures the Eldar shouldn't lose anyone anyway, I'd say the damage should come first. Health is for the SM and their apocs :cool:

Isn't eldar_farseer_ability_research_2 (guide) an inherent ability of the FS so it's not needed in the research order at all ?

Don't know. Why would Relic create a research file for something that did not need to be researched? The lua file even has cost entries.

I would have to check that. Seems fishy to me. At present, I can't remember if the FS starts with GUIDE or not although it wouldn't surprise me that Relic mixed that up - their only god-like dieties who screw up once and a while. :cool: One needs to examine the .rgd from the /attrib folder in the .sga and just see what gives. Unless of course the research item UPGRADES the guide ability. If not, its pointless. One just needs to play the game and see what gives. Probably an oversight by the Relic crew.

Yeaaa thats most unusual why Relic would make it a research item when the FC already comes with Guide? As mentioned, unless it upgrades Guide from the stock ability.
