I... don't see the improvement in that.

Besides, I had the hardest time typing on an Azerty keyboard, and that isn't even all that different.

Wtf would you want to have such a different keyboard layout? I know QWERTY is pretty random but why make it worse by having ANOTHER random layout?

Qwerty was designed to slow typists down, to avoid typewriter jamming. Though, it never got changed because of how people were familliar with it. :p

Dvorak is supposed to be more efficient... I'm still getting used to it though.

Actually qwerty is set up to allow the most commonly used characters easy access and to allow leters that commonly set close by in words on in convenience. It's not random nor is it designed to slow you down, quite the opposite.

Prime's right about the jamming though. Letters that were frequently next to each other in words were spaced apart so that the typewriter's letters wouldn't jam together when you pressed 2 letters almost at the same time.

I'd still rather have my qwerty keyboard. If it was ever ment to slow down, you should see me typing :p (I type really fast :p)

Enjoy it while you can, cause in about 10 years, your wrist begins to hurt after olny a few minutes of typing. I have to wear a wrist support somtimes due to repetive actions. :(

If it ain't broke, tweak it!

Windows is a 32 bit patch to a 16 bit GUI based on a 8 bit operating system, written for a 4 bit processor by a 2 bit company which can not stand 1 bit of competition.

Linux has no Windows, no Gates, and Apache inside. :)

QWERTY Keyboards will remain the dominate one until they replace them with a Virtual interface. It has been QWERTY for god knows how long and it seems to be alot easier to figure out then DVORAK...

Im not say DVORAK isn't good, but my good old QWERTY keyboard will do me just fine :p
