will air combat be included in this briliant mod? if it is, it'll be sure the best WW2 mod i've ever seen. ^_^ or it will be just another good mod. :)

and if there is air combat, how is it like? dogfight or like rocketeer shoot each other? rocketeer-like is not bad,though not real, but simple and easy make, at least make the air superiorty not just a phrase.

if u like a dogfight and dont know how to make it, tell me and i'll explane it later, as it is not so easy.

BTW, is there fog of war? it is even more important, IMO.

Sadly enough that's true.

As for the fog-of-war. We've got a fog-of-war like setup. :sleep:

This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Andre 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.

Yah! seems u also know that way. but it doesn't need to be stationary: a redeployable factory would be ok. :sleep: but the problem is: AI don't know redeploy to release the fighter... :sleep:

any way, rocketeer like is acceptble , but i really wish a dogfight: just think about Mustang chasing Bf109 around and around... :sleep:

and how did u guys make the fog of war? i didn't found a actual way to it. i just set some undestroyble neutrel "shadow maker"(the allied building, i forget its English name) with huge range among the maps...a little strange, but it works, and make battle interesting ;)

BTW, u guy reply a little bit slow...wish to hear from u soon :lol:

Missed this post. Well MigEater is the one doing the ini editing, but the "leaning" sounds interesting. Care to send that piece of info through pm? :dry:

and do u have any idea of CV fighters? i think maybe u can make a Carrier deployble into a seabase repair pod so it can support a continously combat ability to the fighters, which would effect ocean air superioty.
pls tell me ur idea: u can c i really wish u can make a perfect mod :lol:

and how did u manage a fog of war? i really want to know...

Well an "Angle of attack is pretty easy, Just give the fighters a higher flightlevel than the "Regular" aircraft.

The Deployable Carrier, no. The carriers will be regular naval units.

The fog of war is pretty easy actually: just need to rename a single file in the Ra2/Yr mix :lol: and have the shroud grow back. :lol:

good idea of fog of war, but i set Fogofwar=yes before, but no use...is it OK for YR/RA2 or just YR? and the "shroud grow back" value should be very huge, isn't it?
could u send ur fog of war codes here?

"CV fighters": Navy's (carrier based) fighters, vessel fighter unit
i prefere Hellcat to be a powerful fighter for navy, rather than a carrier launched target for zeke...SBD would be a better spawn attacker
and if u use Mustang for fleet air cover, it would be ...strange?
so do we have a vessel fighter?or do we need it?

But as for the "Fog of war": To my best of knowlage there are 2-3 methods of doing "fog-of-war" but the method used by D-day is the only one which i've seen working.
As for the code, it'll probably be specific for the TR mods, or at least till after the release of D-day. After that i (or MigEater) will release a tutorial on how to do this.

The fighter spawned from the US ACC's will be the Hellcat since it outclassed almost all other aircraft on board, perhaps with the exception of the F4 Corsair (Don't have the stats memorized)

As for the navy fighter, i just think Hellcat too good to be only a attacker as Swordfish...And SBD is the best vessel dive bomber then...
though it is Ok anyway, as it's only a graphic

but when u make some 1942-1943 pacific mission, u will have trouble: the only fighter availble in Mustang. but those hard time mission need something don't exceed Zeke so much

"only an attacker" is the only thing that is possible with spawned aircraft.

SP missions open up a range of possibilities for units, but simply because of the shear number of units it's impossible to include all units. Also where does it stop, do we add the Buffalo fighter, or the A5 (predecessor from A6 Zero) or the I-15/16?

We do plan a gamemode in which both SP and MP units are available and a "Timeline-gamemode" e.g 1939-1941, 1942-1943, 1944-1946 is proposed. To implement the latter however still requires load of extra units which all need to be coded as well ^_^
