Thanks guys. So many people wanted to take pictures with me when I went to Ren Fest yesterday, and little kids loved me. It was kinda awesome.

For the back-story, I'm going to guess time-travelling Viking Navy Seal stuck in the late Roman era with some bits and pieces he brought with him. Awesome kit, man.
I hope I am a good enough writer that some day dwarves kill me and drink my blood for wisdom.

That would be awesome, but I went simply with a soldier who was loyal to the old emperor who just so happened to get himself killed, then said soldier decided to make himself scarce, becoming a merc, serving in places where he obtained non-roman weapons/armor.

I'm the guy kicking. Obviously. Otherwise I wouldn't post it. This is from a September tournament.

Nice kick, man. With that kind of technique I can barely get higher than my hips. My roundhouses are deadly, though. :p

Me and a couple of friends at a sweet sixteen last night. I'm the one second from the left (not the ginger one) and the girl is the one who's party it was.

seeing gingers make me wanna puke, but that's allright

And was it a sweet sixteen party like the ones shown on MTV? Because they suck balls, but I always watch them when nothing else is on.. why? Because their attitude is so despicable, yet to entertaining. And I mean the kind og entertaining when you laugh at someone, not with them

Ie. The Apprentice
I too thought of the programme when he said "sweet sixteen".

If it's even called a "sweet sixteen" it should fit in that category. I mean what is so special about sixteen? So you can drive... Well that's cool and all, but it doesn't deserve making it seem like you should get the world for your damn birthday.

In america they just call their sixteenth birthday a sweet sixteen... It might be a little bigger than the average birthday for some people but isn't typically like that.

I know why they call it that, as I live in America. I just think it's stupid to make a big deal over a birthday that doesn't matter anymore then the rest of the pre-adult birthdays.

I've never known someone to make a big deal about it other than on tv.

It's rather similar to the hispanic tradition of quizenera (oh god spelling), namely the 15th birthday of the daughter. They're both meant to celebrate becoming a woman or something.
