... I uninstalled Project Raptor 5.0 and reinstalled it and still CRASHES. It doen't happen when playing w/o Raptor.
I would suggest that you not only uninstall Project Raptor, but ZH and Generals as well. Start from a clean slate so to speak.
If you switch from one mod to another mod frequently, remnant files that aren't removed properly by a mods uninstaller program may affect the next mod that you install in very weird ways. So it is very important to go back and remove any remnant files and folders from your system.
After Project Raptor, ZH, and Generals have been uninstalled, go back in and delete any remnant files and/or folders left behind, from the following directories:
C:\Program Files\EA Games\Command & Conquer Generals Zero Hour
C:\Program Files\EA Games\Command and Conquer Generals
After that go ahead and re-install everything in the following in order:
1.) Command & Conquer Generals.
2.) Generals Retail Patch 1.7.
3.) Command & Conquer Generals Zero Hour.
4.) Command & Conquer Generals Zero Hour Patch 1.04.
5.) Project Raptor 5.0 (6.0 in a couple of weeks)
After all of this has been done, you should be ready to kick butt and take names.
