Ork Changes:


Orks begin with 15 Waaagh instead of 10
Each Waaaghbanner costs 165Req instead of 150Req (still has 800hp)
Each Waaagbhbanner still gives +10Waaagh
Waaaghbanner upgrade cost reduced (i think it was 50/20 instead of 50/50)


Changes for the techtree:

You need 45 Waaagh (3Banners) to build Nobs for ur squads
You need 45 Waaagh (3Banners) to build Mekshop
You need 55 Waaagh (4Banners) to build pikkup
You need 55 Waaagh (4Banners) to build trakks
You need 65 Waaagh (5Banners) to build Killa Kanz (HQ upgrade is not required!!!)
I dont remember how many Waaagh you need for looted tank (it was 65or75) HQ upgrade is required
As far as i remember you need 65Waaagh (5Banners) to build Nobsquad (HQ upgrade is not required)


Changes for the inf:

When the BigMek is built, he autmatically starts with his teleport (you don’t have to buy this upgrade)
Sluggas cost 120Req instead of 140Req
Sluggas: decreased dmg (17-22 instead of 28-34)  less dmg than cultis (18-22)
Slugga cost 30Req to reinforce instead of 35Req
Shootas still cost 140Req
Shootas: increased range dmg (i think it was 28-33 instead of 25-30)
Stormboys do less CC dmg
Tankbustas cost reduced to 65/15 (don’t know if this is for a full squad of 4members or just for one single tankbusta)

Sluggas can only be upgraded with burnaaas
Shooters can only be upgraded with big shotaaas
Tankbustas can only be upgraded with rokkits


Changes for the vehicles:

Pikk-Ups have 1950 HP
Trakks have 1850 HP
Trakks can be upgraded with bombchukaa (as far as I’ve noticed, they can’t be upgraded with rokkits)
Pikk-Ups were a bit more expensive than trakks, but I think that trakks do a bit more dmg.


Changes for the upgrades (only the ones that have changed):

As far as i could see, there is no more upgrade for burnas or rokkits
More Choppy still costs 100/50 and has the same effect PLUS: Powerklaws for the nobs
The Upgrades for the BigMek (custom-force-shield + tankzappa-kit) is all in one for 75/75


I didn’t see killabot, Looted Tank, Tankbustas, Waaaghboss, Nobsquad so I can’t say anything bout them 


SM Changes:

Sniper-ability can be bought in the HQ (u don’t need armory)
Heavy Bolters are only available at t2
Generator cost reduced to 135Req instead of 160Req


CSM Changes:

- Raptors can now be built wihtout armory
- Sacrifical Circle needs t2 to be built (i think that the costs were reduced)
- Machine Pit needs Sacrifical Circle to be built (cost reduced tot 200/100 instead of 300/100)
- Sorcerer is now built in the HQ
- no more flamer-upgrade
- no more Upgrades for Possesed (atleast there were no upgrades at t2)
- Predator cost reduced to 190/325 instead of 190/430
- Defiler cost reduced (dont know what the price is or what else has changed about them)
- Khorne Berserks need t2 to be built (they are built in the chapelle)
1Squad of Khorne Berserks costs 200/20, each further berserk cost 80/20


Eldar Changes:

Soulshrine now costs 250/150
WS can only be built, when Soulshrine has been built
Suport-Portal can be built when Soulshrine is built (U dont need Mobilize for War)
Falcons, Vypers and Wraithlords can be built without Mobilize for War
For Fire Prism, Mobilize for War is needed
U don't need Soulshrine to build Warlocks
Warlock-Upgrades are all in one (cost 150/150)

I don’t know when u can build Firedragons or how much they cost, but 8firedragons raped my Da Boyzhut in 4seconds o.O

wth, SM barely changes anything...still, sniper rifles at start is a good thing! and 135 req for gens!? very good considering how important that is for the mechs. I can't believe that's all the changes for SM though.

No, not all changes but all changes observed and memorized. The poster seemed to have played orks and collected observations his friends made with other races.

Good chaos changes, no more possesed spam. The defiler should cost more both req and limit IMO. And finally orks will be some good.

The only problem is: why did we have to wait for an expansion to fix the game balance?

Everything seems fine (Orks really needed that buff and the Eldar - Prisms need "Mobilize for War" research is dumb -> of course they need it as you can only build a support portal with it researched! Silly.. :p ) but this:

..has got to be the most assinine thing going! THEY FRICK'N NUTS?!? More reason to spam Defilers. I watch the AI all the time and even if the CSM AI is near defeat, if he can get 2 Defilers out before his Machine Pit is torched he can hold off a near throng of enemies with just Defilers! So now they made an overly-buffed unit even more easier to access. Bollocks ! ! ! :p :p

I had seeing the CSM AI now getting to Defilers as once they are on the battlefield its gameover for all other enemies. Stupid. Nothing should be that uber and now cheaper. Stupid. WHERE ARE THE "Balance Police"?!?!

CSM once again got buffed too much and will just rape everything. Gawd..they also reduced cost of MachinePit and Predator too.. <siggggghhhhhhh!!>

This is ESTIMATED and far from complete. I bet defiler will be nerfed. No need to discuss this here as it is discussed to death at relics forum.

They stated that they will release a v1.4 DoW patch same time WA will be released. Don't get me wrong. I find Relic to be real lame with patching/balancing DoW but I got over it 4 month ago.

Yep.. thats paid developers for you. Sit around a boardroom, discuss the balance tweaks/features - grab a coffee, go play World of Warcraft, back to work after losing your Level50 Shrinken Elf-boy to a pip-squeek midget-troll >hA!<, code some more, go home and watch "nudies" til you collapse into great heap on floor, never make it to bed, wake up all sour like a "wretched filth" before work, back to boardroom.. another daily routine commences! But at least it pays $$$$.$$ ! !

Ah well.. Them publishers making demands.. darn deadlines! I wonder what % of gaming RTS passion comes into a development house excluding the desire for a paycheck every 2nd week? When you do something for coin the fun of it likely leeches away. :(

Not if you sell your stronghold (delete while selected). You get half the money for it if you noticed, that enables you to get possesed.

That PSM rush is very ineffective. It dies to a 3 cultist build... It dies to everything actually. It only wins against people who don't get the idea that, "hey, there's a squad of uber melee guys charging my doods, maybe they should run away!"

Blodo - that only worked in 1.2 really, and only against someone who didn't half expect it due to not harassing (yes, harass was the anti-PSM rush). 1.3's PSM were scaled back, and that tactic dropped off the ladder, because CSM massing is far...FAR more effective.

Either that or the 1.3 defiler spam...

Sometimes even harassing wont deal with that, since theyre so cheap.
