Well as some of you might have noticed I’m back at Revora after being away for a month. Any way here is a report on what is happening with D-day atm & plans for the coming weeks.

Overview:
D-day is getting closer to releases every day but with so much to do it’s going to take a while. Atm I would say v3.4 is around 60% finished with several months of work still needed to just to finish the units. I may cut a few things out for the beta to shorten the time required tho, I’ll see how things go.

The web site:
The D-day site is about ready for an overhaul I think so I’m going to working on a new site in the coming days. This new site will be a lot more complex then the current one with full info on all the units in D-day & screen shot galleries.

The forum:
When the new site is finished the analysis & screenshot forums will be removed, the new site will take over their jobs. For now they will be locked as everything in them is out of date any way.

Japan:
I’m glad to tell you that Japan has been started on, I have some of their ground & air forces done already but I’m going to wait until the new site is done to post any pics.

Unit updates:
As many of you know I’m slowly updating most of the older voxels, I have most of the ground units done now but a lot of them have lots of little bits that need work. The older planes need the most work, in fact some of them go back to v3.0 & I’m not bothering to update them but just make completely new ones instead.

Terrain:
TR’s pride a joy the DTX is getting better every day & sometimes it even surprises me. I’ve been working on finishing off the cliffs (WW left them half-complete) & I’m also expanding the pavement/roads etc to include several variants of each which should add to the urban environments greatly (I can finally show you some screenshots of city battles then).

Saving the best till last, here is a new giant screenshot! I hope you lot like it as it took me half an hour just to upload. If I had the damaged Gfx done for the bridge you would have got a full on fight but I haven’t got round to finishing them yet.

:p Maybe I should read the whole sentence before reacting, instead of stopping at "died". Anyway, the screenshot looks great, it just gets better every time.

all this is very good news indeed

brilliant job on the terrain and structures (the eternal oil derrick is still there I see though  ) the cliffs look especially nice and the lighting is spot on. looks quite life like.

you've got M3s towing AT guns? weren't you using the M4 tractor?

I made it...

Not that I know of, terrain editing is no small job & there are very few ppl that can edit terrain & (like me) even fewer that can make new stuff all together. If you do really want to learn then your first step should be to get hold of the XCC TMP editor (only prog for terrain editing there is but it’s buggy as hell).

I’ll add you to my MSN & if you need any help you can ask me there

that bridge looks sweet howed you get the roof thing to go 'over' the units?

The same way you get the bridge to go over the water ;)

you've got M3s towing AT guns? weren't you using the M4 tractor?

M3 tows AT guns, M5 tows the artillery & AA guns are fixed, that's the way it's always been...

 erm I wasn't trying to suggest or waste time or whatever, I was just being curious because I thought something had been changed, so no offense taken Our Last Hope :p

(I got the name wrong by looking in the analysis forum, it says M4 18t) sorries...

on to other things then... :p

-----------------

there are 2 shermans (or what look like them)side by side on the bottom left next to a truck , but one has different markings and the tracks look different, is something up with that ?
I'm also curious about the halftrack with no maxon mount and no field gun being towed behind it. US troop transport ?
also, are those chaffees backing up the pershing by the bridge?
