Child object using new texture

HI, I was wondering if I could change the texture on one of my units by using a childobject.

it does work for heroes as well, but sometimes gets messed up with heroes able to mount

thats why i didn't say heros :sad: But heroes like Merry works fine, and you can't have Aragorn Tex on Faramir cuz their mapping is uniqe.

Lol darn only if i got here in time :\ this is how i make elves on horse with using rohirrim archers and changing the riders skin. For hordes theres the RandomTexture method and for Heros or Units you can do texture upgrades but make sure it lists all textures that can be used for different Lods then make them all the new one

Yea that was what I meant I think ,, as I havnt coded the stuff yet and will do that today some more support would be handy :rolleyes:

  RecolorHouse	= No
	End

This Unit is "ChildObject RohanHaldir ElvenElrond"

I listed all of elrond possible Textures (ruelrond_m, ruelrond2_m, ruelrond2_h)
And replaced them with the new texture (btw that haldir texture is already in bfme)

Heres how for Hordes,Before Default MOdel Condition State List this

 RandomTexture = cufellbst_rider.tga 0 ruelrond2_m.tga

Elrond is the default texture for the units in the horde and the fellbeasts riders texture is the new one.

:rolleyes: glad to help this makes things alot easier if you do a reskin just put the texture in a .big and reference it through Ini saves some time
