But ill agree it aint too good either.

ARGUMENT FROM CREATION, a.k.a. ARGUMENT FROM PERSONAL INCREDULITY (I)
(1) If evolution is false, then creationism is true, and therefore God exists.
(2) Evolution can't be true, since I lack the mental capacity to understand it; moreover, to accept its truth would cause me to be uncomfortable.
(3) Therefore, God exists.

I'm definitely getting it. It's C&C in a star wars box, what more could you want? ;)

Definetely planning on getting it. The idea of a campaign across the Galaxy is something I've been wanting for quite some time.

No way I'm not getting it. I've seen the trailer and looked at the screens. Unbelievable. Can't wait till February.

It looks average to me - it's another average SW game for the fanbois out there. I'm buying it for the moddability, but the game itself looks to have all the depth of a three ring paddling pool to me ;)

Oh n0es, all they've done is taken the normal concept of a world map campaign and replaced regions with larger regions on planets. Go figure, lol. Personally, I think the story is going to be terrible but the actual multiplayer gameplay should be at least average-good

Of course the story is gonna be terrible, it's Star Wars. They thrive on it.

If you don't like my opinion, disagree with it. If anything was arrogant, it was that remark, which was totally unwarranted.

Heh, I'm no authority on Star Wars game storylines, but as fun as they are to play, I've not really experienced a good plot yet

One thing is for sure, is that graphically it does look good. I'm also wondering whether fleet combat will be in a single plane or in full three dimensions. Personally, I think single plane is a better option, as although its not particularily realistic (realistic? how can I use that word in regards to naval space combat, lol), it does simplify and direct play, as well as opening better strategical play - even if playing in three dimensions can be a lot of fun
In fubarness, the distinct lack of veterancy and upgrade systems is a bit sucky. That sort of thing is something that I find is fairly integral to gameplay, rewarding a player who keeps his troops alive longer rather than the player who produces them as quickly as possible and just throws them at the enemy. Fortunately, it's being built with lua soft architecture, so it'll be nice and easy to mod, and also it acts as a powerful tool for the capable coder

I remember hearing somewheres that space combat will not be in full three dimensions, but not completley on a single plane either. I think they call it somthing like 2.5 dimensions. I'll see if I can find where this was said.

Yeah. Differently sized ships will get different planes. The smaller ones, I think, can cross around to the larger ship's planes for attacking.

I think it's mostly single planar from what I can see, with only fighters and bombers appearing to be under or over ships at any time - probably because they're more of a 'weapon' than an actual ship. Time will tell the truth mind :p
