I just got EaW and it has great potential. Vaguely like Dawn of War in places.
From what I've seen so far Only War 2 is going to be truely awe inspiring!

Since 3DS MAX costs money and people might want to contribute even though they lack a copy I thought I might point out Blender - its like a free version of 3DS MAX w/ full rendering and modelling capabilities

as soon as I figure out how to use it I might try to contribute - I loved SW Rebellion and EaW and making a 40k mod for it would be perfect...the space battles alone ...

This is your music composer here (for Only War I). Just checking to see if you have been getting the Tau music (there are three tunes done now); just so I don't go off and create stuff that isn't right for your project. Sorry for bringing this into the OW2 forums, but I noticed you tend to be around here a little more these days.

Or you could download a program called Gmax, basically it's a stripped version of 3ds max, but you can import gmax files into 3ds max.

Cool. I just finished playing Empire at War and I had been thinking how much land combat was similar with DoW and thought how cool it would be if there was a 40K game similar to Empire at war with Ships and wageing wars over entire subsectors. I can hardly explain my excitement when stumbling onto this site.

hey i have a question or 2

1- will each guy have their own sound set like in DoW...(their REAL soundset from DoW)...

2- will they have that melee attacking thing and the Sync melee kills

I understand that your question isn't directed at me, but I'll answer anyways

1: I dunno, since I'm not on the team but I'm pretty sure they won't be using the DoW sound sets

2: I don't think that's possible in SAGE ( I mentioned earlier that the engine is called Aurora, but that's NWN/Bioware )

Do you realise that Dawn of War didn't invent Warhammer 40k, Did you realise that, this is not a mod to remake Dawn of War in Command and Conquer 3, Did you realise that this is a mod that uses the Command and Conquer 3 engine to create a Warhammer 40,000 experience?
