First off, I just picked up BFME like 2 weeks ago and man, what an unpolished gem this game is... the capabilty for an absolutely amazing game is inside somewhere, and I thank modders such as yourself for taking the time to improve upon this unfinished EA project.

I've been 3d modeling and animating using 3d studio max for around 5 years now professionally and I rarely see face textures as good as your Elrond texture for such low poly models. Have you released that hero character with your new texture applied to it or are you only releasing it with your mod?

I gather the beta has come out and been closed and I regret not getting the chance to try your very professional looking mod. Now that it is in beta, do you have a ballpark date upon which you will release the mod?

Thanks for your time.

The beta has closed but we have been told a new one will come out soon. As for when it come out we haven't been told anything at all really.

While I appreciate your generous compliments, I can't take any credit for Elrond's face. The Elrond texture and model left sitting around by EA is one of those gems we all love to find: a texture many times more detailed than most others in the game and a rather well done model. The Elrond model was used in the opening cinematics, so I guess EA wanted to really show off. When I did my own Elrond model and skin, I kept EA's face because it was just so well done.

All of the work that's going into this mod will be left unreleased until the entire mod is out, and even then I ask that no one uses my work for public mods without my permission.

I'd ball park the final release by late September, early October at the latest. But as adummy said, the next beta will be out sooner than that, but it will have limited entrance. However, I'd be honoured to have someone who's been modelling for as long as you have on my beta list. If you could get me your e-mail address, I'll put you on the list (nobody else ask for this; I'm not giving it to you ;)).

Thanks!

Well, I'd be honored to be on your beta list. It's because of mods that pc game developers are raising the bar in terms of gameplay and game substance. If these mods didn't exist, we'd all be playing Tetris instead of the in depth, sophisticated games we play now adays.
