Yes it's another newbie!

I hope that someone here can help me out with a couple of question I just can't answer. I have just started modding BFME and have only made it so I can buy all heros currently in game when playing as Gondor... I like heros!

Anyway, I was playing around with getting Elrond in game, and while I've got him there I'm having a few peoblems. First, he doesn't say anything; despite having pleanty of references in the voice.ini and it all linked in elrond.ini. Why is this?

I have also given him the standard 10 experience levels, however, he pops out of my citadel at level 10 and then starts gaining exp and goes to level 2, what do I need to correct?

Finally, How do you change the multpiplayer sciences from the standard 8 to the campaign 12? I have tried swapping spellbooks and the like but I only have the 8 spell pick buttons.

Sorry for asking these questions, i'm sure you nice people have answered them a thousand times.

Not possible unless you have access to the proprietory software owned by EA. So far, only Deezire has managed this (he works/worked for EA) so for anyone else it's not possible.

I noticed he had done it, but I never realised he has worked (or works) for EA. Thanks for filling me in.

Which mod is this in, can't you look at the code, and copy the basics of it?

Unfortunatrly I can't. Deezire's mod is not made in the standard way, you can't get at his ini files (or most others)... well not as far as i've found.

it's not INI coded, it's done through the actual game engine, which we can't edit.

no need to

ugg

like you are way better than he does, we all started somewhere, and there was someone to help us out.

you know how to do it, fine, then tell him how to (and if you don't want to, just give a few tips) but don't start

ugging

around and acting superior

don't let it go to your head, there is always someone better than you are

dunno about elronds' voices ingame, but if you want to add voices to him by ripping some form the dvd's or whatever source you can get them I'll leave you a link to gothmog's tut. its not exact in some areas but you can fiddle around with stuff after reading it.

http://gothmogtheorc...diotutorial.htm

and for mods, if its done in the .big format its usually in the documentsandsettings/applicationdata/mybfmefiles app data is hidden so you have to de-hide it...

just extract the .big to a folder and it will contain all the ini's object etc in their correct paths, but it will only show you the ini's that have been modded. i beleive the gamedata.ini is the only exception, it might be in the object folder and isn't named gamedata.ini. I beleive it also only includes the changes to the file and note the whole file itself. :)

Thanks for the help everyone! :)

I don't mind being 'ugg' -ed, I belong to other forums on different topic where I've been around so long that I feel like going like that to many people.

I wont rip any sounds Feldspar, but thanks for the tutorial... I may use it in future.
