Hey, I'm sorry but first, Italy never had air craft carriers. Mussolin (sp?) thought Italy was an aircraft carrier itself so he never created them, which was the biggest naval mistake of WW2. post more later..

 Not another "know it all" guest poster...

The Italian navy had one aircraft carrier, the Aquila. It was incomplete tho but it was still a aircraft carrier.

Arguably the Aquila was still an ocean liner... as it never underwent the full transition (only 90%)

The Graf Zepplin was included. I know it has also been modelled at least once too.

Twice actually, any way the Graf Zep is a SP unit & will be used in the later German missions.

the best bomber of ww2

I could pick so many holes in that, I got better things to do tho

Hawker Hurricanes were used only on merchant ships equipped with a catapult to launch the plane, when a Luftwaffe Condor bomber was spotted. After shooting down the Condor, the pilot would have to ditch in the sea, to be picked up by an escort as the plane could not land.

The British Fleet Air Arm used Fulmars (which had poor performance, I believe), 'Marlets' (their name for Wildcats) and Corsairs, I believe. I think Seafires were used to moderate success (naval version of the Spitfire).

WTF? Yotta do you actually know anything about WW2?

How is it the best WW2 bomber when it wasn't even used :p

Oh and i can remeber somewhere you once said

One German soldier could have defeated the entire Russian army if he wasn't stricken down with the Flu

The Russian army was a great fighting machine, if 1 German soldier could have defeated it then why were the Russians the first into Berlin?

Before you come to the D-Day forums and start flashing false WW2 knowledge, maybe you should read a few books or something?

Guys, this has nothing to do with the unit list, and Yotta/Universal has been banned from Revora.

Please stay on topic, or I'll have to "tidy" it... You've been fairly warned!

Fighter: Spitfire MkIX
Ground attack: Typhoon
Bomber: Mosquito

Mig, what made you pick the mosquito as the British Bomber?

Surely the Lancaster would have been a better choice of unit?

I noticed that the German Bomber was the JU-88 and the US was the B-25 Mitchell, these are both medium bombers so how come you didnt pick the Halifax or the Wellington for the UK bomber?

The mosquito was more of a fighter-bomber than a dedicated bomber. I mean don't get me wrong the Mosquito was a brilliant plane and i shall enjoy commanding it :) but why not the Hallifax or Wellington?

The Avro Lancaster et al will be ingame, but they will only be called in for airstrikes. To avoid duplication, the buildable bombers will be "mediums".

US: F6F Hellcat
UK: Sorwdfish

Sorry to bring back old conversations, but im still worshiping this Mod!!

How come the F6F Hellcat is the attack aircraft for the US carriers? I know it was a fighter bomber but why not use the SBD-3/5 Dauntless for attacks?

Im sorry if i seem like im moaning, you obviously have your reasons for this, but im just curious about the mod :)

And will the british use the Swordfish all the time, or will it be replaced by the Avenger later on in the war/SP Campaign....

Keep up the good work guys, you lot rule! :p
