I live in houston, texas, so the hurricane is the hot topic of the week here. At the very least i'll probably get some heavy flooding + power outage. On the good side, school has been canceled for the rest of the week (thurs & fri). Just wondering if anyone else here might be affected by the storm...

we had a storm here in Norway, wasn't big though.

Let's hope you don't die, nor anyone.

Well, you'll have even more people evacuating this time, because you have all the hurricane Katrina victims that went to Texas, and the Tcitizens of Texas evacuating. And my cousin used to live in El Paso, Texas.

Off topic, slightly: My family just moves a lot. State to state, country to country, continent to continent. Most I ever lived anywhere was for four years. Least was 3 months.

Get ready for a much larger spike in gas prices this time around...

Best of luck to anyone affected, directly or indirectly, by Rita.

He most likely lost his phone connections and internet connections. I'm not surprised it always happens when there is a hurricane.
