Ok im gonna put all my questions in here coz i know new threads bug ppl.

Are you planning to make a campaign to go with robot storm or not. At the moment you can play the normal campaigns but most of them have internal errors cos of the new units confusing the game. I think a new campaign would be really cool!!!

Yes, been planned indeed, however to make it reality i would seriously need ppl to script the complicated events but there doesnt seem to be many even capable of doing so as this wouldn't be so ordinary campaign and no, i'm not really much of a scripter myself. :)

lol well im a beginner modder really. I just use tibed. I know you ppl say notepad is better but tibed is easier for me. I only wish that i could download voxels and shps and no know how to use them. Really i just want units in .Xif format cos thatsd wot tibed can open for you. Xcc mixer can turn files into .XIF somehow but im no good at it.


Do you know how to get voxels and shps in Xif format. If so maybe you could email me them or something???

Yes it seems xcc mixer converts voxels to such format but really tibed may seem easy for start but once you understand better it is only slowing you down and anyways that program is no good for serious mods due to its tendancy to corrupt the inis or at least make them very messy.

oh and yes your maps are coming *sighs* college work is getting on top at the mo am trying to make spare time.. ok? Be nice if I had some help with scripting as i wont be able to finsih it this year! Well not on own anyway... :laugh:

My i suggest you tweak the nexus laser satiallete(Sorry cant spell it right) a bit. It has the full 10:00 recharge but it seems but worse then all the other superweapons. I covers a very small area and dosent really do much damage. Either increase the area it damages, make it a 5 minute recharge or double,even triple the damage it does now.

Though nexus kick ass anyway so i guess they have to have some weaknesses. Man nexus have such an advantage over everything! I love em u cant lose.



Also how do you play someone online with robotstorm. Im sure you can play other people that have the mod somehow. You cant go on custom game cos it says you have the wrong version of yuris revenge like it does with all mods.

That's not true at all. I get on just fine by going on Custom Game...as does Apollo. The only bone of contention is if you try and play someone who does NOT have the mod or has a different mod.

Me and Apollo play together sometimes...just join the lobby, grab a friend, give him/her the mod and play them :lol:

Alternately, give XWIS a try. Pop XWIS in Google and download it :lol: It's like 5k and easy to use.

Are you going to add a few more tech buildings in the next version. I cant really think what they could do but...... You'll think of summit cool!


Also maybe making the "Dread naut" better. It costs like 10000 and its hard to get. Its bullets do alot of damage but maybe it's rof should be more. Also it shud really be able to shoot into the air.

Ideas for a tech building:

1.It's like the tech airport but it drops tanks that arn't builable.

2. (This would be very very hard if possible at all) Make like a stargate. When i tank goes in one and appears at another. IF you not familair with stargate-Sg1 then its a chrono gateway.

The stargate technically is possible using map scripts (tunnel logic), but it's a really buggy logic, is rather detracting from the game, its ideologies and also the capability of any mapper...

Apollo: If you want stargate maybe observe that Stargate Atlantis mod for TS in tiberiumsun.com forums.

The tech airport thing isn't much use to any of the sides, I feel. What would they drop? There are over 70 buildable/playable units as it is. Do we need one more, necessarily?

Tech buildings, no. Tech units, YES. But I say no more.

As for the Dred, the whole POINT is it's hard to get, both in needed stuff and money ;) And as for the RO... it has to be stoppable. Balance, people :umad: Whatever ya do, don't press D when you have it selected :lol:

Apollo: Yes indeed and you are supposed to use existing arsenal to support it Anti-air wise as land wise, it is pretty unstoppable unless truly overwhelming force and selfdestruct as last resort if get close enough to enemy and ur about to die...

BTW, in future versions, hero units will only be buildable by their owner side (ie, Commando can only be built by Allies, Nadia only by Freedom, Volkov only by NEXUS). It's only fair ;)

Hmm...I wonder if apollo will delete/edit mine and the post above mine. AFAIK the hero unit thing was agreed upon to be done but chances are I might've spoken out of turn... :cool:

so anyway theres a little problem with your laser tank.<SPOILER ISSUE REMOVED>. Its cameo( picture in the side bar) is of a apoc. You probably ralise this and its probably because you dont have a cameo to put there but as you have cameos for everything esle maybe you missed it. If all else fails get an in game shot of it and stretch it! :) :) :)

Man i love this mod!

Last game i played was a free forall with 7 brutals. I managed to get a dreadnaut ELITE!!!!!!! It fires four bullets and fast! But a fu**ing chrono tower got it and i had no other tanks at that enemys base!!

ALso think about lowering the repair on nexus units. My tanks seemed to be almost invincible to even preaty heavy base defence( A particle cannon and 10 tanks!!)

You got lucky with crate goodies then haha.

I could've sworn I've seen Laser Tank cameo...hmm. Maybe I'm wrong.

Also, I think the repair tweak will be made slightly. I do agree it can be hard to beat enemy. However, anybody with a lick of sense will build a second MCV to improve the healing anyway :) ASS TACTIC ALERT :)

sorry but the whole laser tank has been ditched in coming version as redundant unit and art possibly reverted for other use.

;) Least SOMEONE agrees with us.


We (or rather Apollo forced me! ;) ) decided to not tell about the secret units just for a bit of a surprise, and a bit of incentive to do shit.


What I CAN tell you is that in a future version, NEXUS fans will be getting a couple of special semi-secret treats :p They stay secret for now, tho. In fact, they still need to be completed, lolz..
