Who has still some time doing dedicated beta testing ? That is sending reports backed up with replays ? Send me an email to dow@viciousbyte.de and I will provide you with the latest code.

If you want to participate you have to provide version number playing, findings best with gametime and a replay as already mentioned.

I wouldn't mind testing if you are willing to send me the AI files.

Sory, my post wasn't too clear. First I want to get a yes/no from our current testers so I can see how much are still active. If we are low on staff you will be added of course.

Would you guys mind if I let my friend private test with me? The standard AI is just really too easy for us (and we rather not play online).

I don't mind at all. Would like to see good replays of long hard battles. Note to play on harder (or insane) !

Don't limit IG heros to the number of IG squads that are out. It's worth it to have 3 priests running around unattached for example. I think the same is true with psykers.

line 872
self:CountSquads("ork_squad_armored_nob", dok_attach)
I think that's a mistake since doks can't attach to MANs... also, once it's possible to make doks, they're good attached to any squad or even unattached to act as damage sponges (they're 500 hitpoints of commander armor now) as long as they don't FJ themselves. They're probably best used attached to sluggas/shootas/nob squads.

Yeaa MANz cannot have anything attached to them :( Imagine attaching the WarBoss? OUCH ! ! !!

As for IG commanders like Psykers and Priests going solo without squads.. Dunno.. Larkin? Do Psykers and Priests do decently by themselves? Aren't they more effective and protected in squads?

Btw, we're kinda full on the beta team.. We'll let ya know. :)

I had some fun throwing lone priests at things. Those giant chainsaws are actually quite vicious, and they can take a fair amount of lead before exploding into a mass of pie.

Psykers are good at spamming lightning at things. I always have a few of them loitering around in case my super mega armored armada (SMAA!) runs into too many melee infantry.

I think that our latest code 1.5b5 is doing well regarding priests. It will ataced more likely in tier3 to use fanatism and won't limit their numbers dependant on IG squads on the field. No idea wether psykers should be attached or not. I guess they will be eaten quickly while not attached. But all this is minor and can be changed while we have more experience with IG. I don't like the idea of unattached doks. But everyone can change it for their own pleasure.

I've been watching some pro replays (I really like Ironclad; and his latest raceof choice is IG); and he really tore some holes doing the 3 priests thing..he never builds a commander till late game. funny thing though, using the same strat is not so successful for me vs. AI Vanilla on Harder.

I just got the latest skirmish build, so I will have to see if there is any difference, but my initial attempts at some of ironclads teching/building strats have faired better than the standard build, but I'm still having a rough time with vanilla AI/Harder with IG.

Haven't played SM for a while, but that voice for the chaplain is so ghey....have a hard time playing them now. With a skull for a face, you should sound different than that!
