I was happly playing some CoD. I peeked round a corner to remove someones helmet, as thay were not going to need it when there dead. Then powww. My computer switched off.
:so:
I pressed the power button, expecting it to come back on and everything to be fine. But No. Nothing. Not a single whirl of a fan. The box was dead.

I though "you bitch, you know it's friday and i can't goto the shop till monday, you bitch".

I walked away to relax for a moment.

Came back 5 mins later thinking "carma will own you, you bitch". Hit the power button again. Purrrrrh. It's alive!

I think this computer has had it's day. If i want something thats going to switch off mid flow i might as well get a Mac or a Casio watch. I'll go down the shop on Monday and buy a new set of internal gear.

*Goes to play CoD*

Heh. Maybe the everyday overheating has something to do with it :rolo:
It's past it's use-by date.

Mine does this sometimes. It's from overheating I'm pretty sure. Take the side off your case :)

I had a look and it appears the fan in the back of the PSU is broken, so after an hours use it over heats and drops dead. Untill monday i'll have to use for an hour, leave it to cool for an hour, use for an hour.. so on..

I'd like one of those freezer towers which you can put milk, beer and ice in to keep them cool. Thay look cool (pun).

Makes me think of my keg comp I plan on building :). I wanted to put refridgerated cooling in it, and an internal resevoir for beverages.

Reminds me of the computer from Russia that needed a walk outside before it would work. :)

Let's see, there are others that I might be able to remember.... like the board that someone fried by using an anti-static bag to mount it on.

Replacing a burnt out HDD motor with a variable-speed drill.

Cooling upgraded Sinclairs with cardboard milk cartons that were put in the fridge ready for next use.

I just jury rigged a fan speed controller in my friends case. I thought I killed the power supply when I accidentally crossed two wires, but it's fine.

Well, when it comes to writing an expository essay about counter-insurgent tactics, I'm of the old school. First you tell them how you're going to kill them. Then you kill them. Then you tell them how you just killed them.

Mmm, cooled Vodka and CoD... My, my, there IS a god. I would love that. :)
Natus 3.4

Corrupt program now requires constant reboots and does not function at all in majority of instances. Designed with a web browser component to replace AOL, it has exceeded our expectations by being more crashy and unreliable and with worse tech support. We didn't think it was physically possible! A general product recall is advised; when it does function it seems to require background processes Girl 0.1Beta to stave off further crashes. Will someone PLEASE remove that code, and insert Backbone 1.9 in its place? That's assuming we even bother to continue this prog.

Hmm, I can see a college rig materializing. All I need is a mini fridge, a bit of casework, and....

No, I've got that. :rolo:
Perhaps I was going to say some beverages to put in it and such.
