HEY PENDAELOSE i don't see anything new till now .

How there is about 246 pages in suggestion topic and this page is still working from about 3 month ,and you didn't release except 2 versions and they are not full versions also .

Second Are you going to release a full mod with challenges,campaign or no .

Third can you make a progress topic as contra progress topic with loading bars .

Fourth i don't see anybody answering except you PENDAELOSE . If there is any problem you have in the mod then say you might found anyone to help you .

Don't think that i am shouting or yelling at you . I am just want to know if there is any problem with you .

BY the way your mod is
good keep up the good WORK .

Well, I'm the only person working on the Mod. I've had some help in the past, but it's been limited in scope. Remix is my personal project and it only has progress when I'm available to work on it. That's why I'm the only one that answers questions. I have some testers who are still around from the early days of the mod, but like me they have their active and down times.

It's been about 3 months sense I had any progress. My laptop died, my job got busy, and life got in the way. I look forward to a chance to pick work back up, but that's all I can say for sure. I expect my laptop back from repair soon, but I'm not sure exactly when.


Life is always full of excitement, for example I just spent 4 days in the hospital ICU with my son because he had a blood sugar incident and went into DKT (bad stuff). Those kinds of problems make games take a back seat.


Once I can resume work I'll be able to release the current version of Research General and full AI for every faction. I don't think I'll ever have challenge or campaign modes. I'd love to have them, but I don't have the time to spend on it myself. once I get every general finished out with a few more changes and I have the AI added I'm going to retire the mod so I can work on a new project.

Between now and the next polished release there should be very little new art work done. Instead the focus is on designing, testing, and fixing. the mod has always been so close to finished that its nearly criminal. I'd love to see this through to the end with a real community effort.

But if you are alone in the mod why don't you work again with contra or they might help when they finish 008 . you and creator said before that you are friends .

Creator and I get along well, and we have a lot in common, we share many of the same goals in our mods, even if we address them differently. But in the end we both have our own interests and goals. He does make models for me when I ask, but I try not to bother him for them too often. Likewise, whenever I have a new idea for a unique ability, or some other code trick, I always share it with him. But we aren't really interested in working full time on each others mods... it would be like having 2 chefs in the kitchen.

Research general is the evolved form of laser general.

The new iteration of Remix will have a ton of new stuff, better AI, and address some balance issues, if I've been reading correctly, Ronaldo.

pretty much. 90% of the *new* content is with Research general, but there have been a few things added to the others. There have been TONNES of balance adjustments, most of these are listed in the change log topic. Keep in mind the change log topic covers from the last public release to the current version in development... it does not include changes to prior versions.

Hey. If a fla hijacks a USA dozer, is there anything stopping them from using all there units and upgrades? Like the sdi turret for the sw general?

There IS something stopping you from building other factions tech. There are several reasons for this, one of the biggest is it would badly break the upgrades and generals powers in Remix. It's also a bit silly, stealing a bulldozer doesn't give you nuclear secrets or advanced laser tech.

What are the changes to the original zh hero units? Also, what are the vehicle hero units? What is the 4tier escalation?

They are limited super powerful vehicels like the Leonidas, look at the Robot General Video on ModDB

What is the 4tier escalation?


Here is the answer from the master Pendaelose

it works like this... first, lets assume you are playing Super Weapon general, it's an easy build path. You start the game at "Escalation 0". You can build you starter buildings, and a wide range of basic units and defenses, but you cannot build a tech center yet. After you build your War factory you can research "Escalation 1", it costs 2000$ and takes 60 seconds. Now you can build a strategy center plus a new tier of units and defenses. After you build your strategy center you can research "Escalation 2", it costs 4000$ and takes 90 seconds. This will let you build an ICBM launcher, plus another tier of units and defenses. Escalation 2 units are some of the best units in the game and your first level of heavy defenses. These T2 units offer the real meat of your army/base. After your ICBM is built you can research "Escalation 3", this costs 8000$ and takes 135 seconds. Now you can build your particle cannon, SDI cannon, and research your Hydrogen Bomb upgrade for the ICBM.

For any general, if you stay focused on base construction and upgrades you can reach T3 in about 12 minutes. Not all generals will follow the same upgrade path, some have upgrades to a single structure, or others have technology that much be researched, but they all take the same amount of time to reach T3.

For ease of conversation the Escalation levels are often called T0 - T3. Some factions have a T3+. It's not another escalation level, but there may be an additional upgrade or structure needed to unlock a final unit or super weapon.

What are the super units for each general?


In Remix there's a little bit of a grey zone between "Super Unit", "Hero Unit", and "Tier3 Unit". Being a "hero unit" does not mean it's stronger than a "Super unit", or even that a "super unit" has to be stronger than a "Tier3 unit". Some factions have more than one, some factions don't have one at all.

Where the definition comes in is on build limits.


Hero Units are always limited to 1.
Super Units are only limited to 1 in Tournament mode.
Tier 3 units are never limited.

Some generals have fewer, or weaker superweapons. In these cases the Tier3 or Super units will be stronger than normal to make up for it. A couple generals have no Tier 3 super weapon at all, and instead have a super powerful Hero unit (Leonidas mech for example). Tank general has 2 heroes that serve as powerful support units, but offer no damage of their own at all.


Honestly, the list of T3, Super, and Hero units is a bit too long to get into right now... there are LOTS of them.

In the end keep in mind, my goal was to make every faction a unique and enjoyable experience. No two factions have the same formula for building, upgrading, etc. I've played my mod enough to say with conviction that EVERY faction is powerful and can be played lethally vs any other faction. I've made the factions as different as I possibly can, so there's no way everyone will like EVERY faction. You will have favorites, and there will be some you dislike. Some factions are better suited to different players.

It's just the SDI, besides that there is some long range Arty, but no real super units

Super weapon general gets Tier 3 defenses instead.... Shield generators and upgraded Long Arm sites.

So if gla hack a dozer, is there no option to build the units of the dozers faction?

they have new advantages. I feel having their own unique play style is a better perk than being able to steal the style of another faction.

I shut down the ability for several reasons... I had to get creative to make the mod work, and in exchange I had to prevent players from stealing tech to keep the game from breaking. On the same note, capturing buildings is only for civilian structures now... you can't steal a base for the same reason, it would break the mod.

Remix has hundreds of units, upgrades, and powers. These are broken if you try and stack to factions.
