2.08 has brought up(or should i say fixed) again the previous Insane(yes insane) AI.
But now we get again serious error messages against 1 robot gen.

Yes i know but you said that your ally dies too quick witch in turns get you killed, or your ally pawns the enemy before u get to max tech right?remember i play with an ally so i don't die
So don't use an ally and playt a hard then you should be able to win ... or choose a map with a narrow CP so u can defend it easy.
We are using 2.05 ai as pend did not fix the updated 1 yet, and i have not had a seriose error yet only once while playing with capt drake.
We had 2 cyber teams on and us 2 was laser, we started to win after about an hour give or take and started to push back into there base but then the game went down...
But idk if drake used his plasma SW so that might have crashed the game as i read there is a problem with it in pvp.

Theres a BIG difference between a Hard and an Insain. The hard will only act like a speed bump if you put it between you and an insain. If you just want to see the top of the tech tree, jut play against a hard. I'm sure you will find it quite rewarding. Or, still easier than 1 insain, you can play agaisnt 2 hards if 1 is not enough.
Between now and the next polished release there should be very little new art work done. Instead the focus is on designing, testing, and fixing. the mod has always been so close to finished that its nearly criminal. I'd love to see this through to the end with a real community effort.

I just came from a game with my friend and i used it and we did not crash out or mismatch, however he had died about 1 min before i used it and so he was a spectator i don't know if that would make a differance.
But just thought i say because maybe there is another factor involed to make it die.
Ok i know this might sound funny but me and my friends been talking and stuff and well, we was joking about but actuly i loved this unit.
Do you remember tha M.A.D tank from the first red alert and retaliation?
Where the little tech guy runs out screaming as the verical blow up causing massive shockwave damage.
Welll i would think it would be sweet if a general maybe the demo general had a unit that u parked it would deploy and after about 10 seconds it would blow up with a massive shockwave, if possable make the shockwave only damage vehicals/buildings so infantry would be unharmed.. but idk if u can with a shockwave choose its attacking type?
But anyways it would be slow moving but armored enough to be able to take fire while getting into position, maybe give it a light machine gun.
O wait i got a better idea, there is so meny nukes in this already so how about REMOVING the nuke truck and putting in a mad tank it would be stealthed just like the nuke truck(while moving aswell) and would be the super unit for the demo general, it could be manuly blown and if it replaced the nuke truck it would have no deploy system but instead of nuke damage the effect would change and it would be a shockwave/earthquake kinda weapon. idk i leave the details to you all

- I am sure the problem with the Plasma Battery lies in the rotating animation of the cannon firing. There's a bit of lag right when it begins and just before it crashes. Might be that.

I just rolled it back to an older version... I'm not sure what went wrong in the 2.07, but I will do my best to make sure the next new AI version doesn't have that problem again.- Speaking of the A.I.. Insane now is a lot better as it uses variety. Good job.

well, I've never liked the word "better". I prefer "different". Because truth be told, while I charish design and balance aspects of a mod, I've over streatched myself and never could compete with the quality of work Creator puts into a single unit. I've got alot more content, but everything he has is more complete and more polished. Its not that they arn't valuable in thier own way... but it does kinda get old... balance and design comments regarding an army I had nothing to do with don't help me clean out bugs from what I've made. They have a time and place, but I think they would be better suited being dropped in the Contra.04 bug thread.But if GLA comments and remarks are getting annoying I'll stop posting any.
Once I start the GLA that will be a different story. I'll need constant review of the general(s) I'm working on. As I tend to work on only a single general at a time thats where the bug testing needs to be.

This is why i said maybe ther eis some other factor being put into place.
But as i said my friend had died and was in spectator mode so i really don't know if that would make a differance, imo it does not sound like spectating would make a differance to the crash as a second player is still in game.

I have a saved replay with 2 LASER Generals.
- One built absolutely nothing so I had 1 dozer and 1 HQ.
- The other had 1 dozer, 1 HQ, 2 Power, 1 Supply, 1 War Factory, Strategy Center, Plasma Spec. Upgrade, 1 Plasma Battery, 1 Supply Gatherer and absolutely nothing more, meaning I had built exactly what was needed to use the Plasma Battery.
- On 0:00 I used the Battery causing a mismatch.
I am not going through this test a 5th time, if you don't believe me no problem but that's what causes it on all my 4 computers.
PS.: Phoenix, if there are no other players in the game it will not crash. But that's what causes it.

But as i said friend had died and was spectating so maybe thats why it did not mismatch but i don't see how that would effect it.

actualy, GLA is still holding on. I've got to fix the bugs with the last release, then get the other AI factions running. THEN I will be in early aslt GLA production.has it been coded yet? cause i know its in early development

I do think teh nuke truck needs a new model tho... personly i always thought the nuke truck model looked like crap.

The triple murader is a salvage upgrade.
You must buy the Triple barreled then get two salvage crates.
(But note as I say this I also point out that the third barrel is cosmetic
and doesn't fire. also its not modded yet so I'm not gonna freak over this.)
