[PR 4 @LL!!!]

hi guys, over xmas i got about 250£ so i have bought a 360 and gears of war which owns, BUT not to be rude but we havent had a update in almost 2 months, and im fine with that but sum of my friends i keep telling to wait untill V8 so the stealth bug gets fixed, and they keep asking when, when, is it dead? ect ect......

so not to be impatient but anyt chance of an update, to keep people visiting?!

also contra mod is alrite but we shoulnt use the same stuff..........

I'd like there to be an update aswell, don't know why vg didn't give one for Christmas or New Years.

Plz show us something even if it's just some info we don't know about the game, we'd like to see something to show us what you've done up to this point.

I'm beginning to worry for this mod.

well i just had the most pleasant surprise today...

a ps3 60GB with Call of duty 3!!

but wait, there's more!!

a brand new Honda Civic Si 2007 which my father will hold until it is MINE on my 16th birthday... yep life is good

Congrats on the car. No more busses! I remember my first car. An old beat up bright orange Volkswagon bug. Spins out real well in the winter time. It was quite interesting being able to look out the drivers side window and realize your traveling straight ahead in that direction, while your car is sideways. Such fun in the snow.

PS3 cool. I'll finally be able to afford one in about a year or two.

Let me know how Call of Duty 3 is. I have the original Call of Duty for the PC, and I quite enjoy that one. It still pisses me off that I can't play generals online with out getting cut off every 5 to 10 minutes, yet I can play call of duty online for at least a couple of hours before I see any type of disconnection. (Sometimes not at all)

By the way, was it your birthday or something yesterday? If so, Happy Birthday! (a day late of course).

would i be allowed to edit the AI and try to fix the stealth bug with its defence or not. and if i am aloud to do a so called advanced AI could i post it here to liven up V7 ? if no then its no problems im just trying to fix bug.

I'll give you an temporary answer to that question, until VG pops-up and makes it official.

Based on these two similar questions and answers that VG sent me awhile back when I first made the FAQ page ...

No, you cannot submit a modified version of Project Raptor and call it yours even if the team is mentioned in the credits. Doing so will result in seeking justice at the full extent of the law.'

I'm going to say NO. You do not have permission to make changes to PR and redistribute those changes to the public.

You will have to wait until PR 8.0 for the bug fixes, or until Vanguard decides otherwise.

I'm not trying to be mean here or anything with this answer. It's just that in light of Vanguards hiatuses, I wanted to make sure that a non-reply from Vanguard to your request, doesn't get translated into 'He didn't answer, so it must be ok' type response from you, or anyone else thinking of changing and re-distributing PR. You need his permission for that. If he gives it, great no problem. But until you get a reply from him then the answer has to be no.

There was an incident kinda recently over on another board, where a banner was stolen and modified in a similar fashion. It occurred when the person who made a request to use and modify the banner for his website, got a no-reply from the banners owner. The requester went ahead and wrongly assumed it was ok to go ahead make the changes anyway, and use the banner on his site. So, I'm just jumping in here to make sure PR isn't stolen by Vanguards non-reply to your request.

So again, You will have to wait until PR 8.0 for the bug fixes, or until Vanguard decides otherwise. Do not modify and redistribute PR without Vanguards final approval.

ok bob thanks i will just wait or just remove PR untill 8 just to try other mods and maybe go online and play, i wasnt going to realease it to the public just people on here but thinking about it they are the same thing!

but if you need help with some of the more basic scripts and things just say i might be able to lend ya a hand.

but you see how annoying the bug is becuz we on V7 cant even use random armies and setting the armies just isnt as fun, becuz you just now whats coming around the coner, but is the bug in a unit or builiding or something else........

Nope. I'm assuming he's either taking another break or working hard on the EAW mod. I haven't heard from him since his last hiatus post.

Yup. I understand the bug is annoying. VG has said before that he has fixed most of the online mismatch bugs in the 8.0 version. In the meantime I would recommend to you ModToaster. You can switch back and forth between mods with ease. And when PR 8.0 comes out it will be on downloadable their network as well for modtoaster.

karl it really depends, and should see ps3's true power within the next few game releases... ps3 has been proven to have higher specs but what amazes me is that people go all out when they see that the ps3 call of duty 3 has a few framerate drops (not at all noticable) I mean come on... its like a 60-59 framerate drop...

in other words, both consoles are kick ass but IMO the ps3 will have a more solid foundation for the long run

I am a bit disappointed to hear that sigma for Project raptor has been dropped but hey who's complaining? After about a year (am i correct?) in development i have no worries for PR8 because it will destroy every other C&C mod no doubt

It cannot be denied that the PS3 is superior in nearly all ways
but a swift comparison of the specs respectivly told me that the PS3 is barely better despite it's dedicated processor blocks.
What is a Terraflop?
because the xbox can do 1.0, the PS3 does 1.9
and the PS3's general processor speed is about 50 Mhz faster than the xbox 360

However with such a huge price tag not everyone is going to be able to buy one without going bankrupt
and for DVD enthusiasts they would like the nice shiny BD drive with it's currently unmatchable speeds despite the fact that replacing a large DVD collection is going to cost an excess of 500 GBP easy addionally it's thanks to the BD drive that PS3 games are 60 GBP
Redeeming factor? none other than the game line-up! particulary Metal gear solid:
MGS 4 guns of the patriots is bound to cause a nuclear blast of it's own

I heard that shootings and mugging are increasing due to the PS3 release, the xbox 360 was bad i heard but the PS3 is even worse

In my opinion the Nintendo Wii is not intended to be graphically mighty since it's graphics power is a laughable 126 Mhz Vs the Xbox 360's 500 Mhz and the PS3's 550 mhz. The Wii in my opinion is more of a interactive/ relax thing rather than something for extremes of gaming, something that helps you feel that you are really in control without the aid of life-like graphics which is definately something


P.S i can't use the pound sign because i have just realised that my key board has an American layout so the keys are printed in British format but '@' is on the 2 key etc
