I'd like to say a big thank you too Dain. He has just saved me from pulling hair out lol. The mod has made me a very happy man! now will there be a way too have it so they can have forged blades? that'll top it off no end. But a big thanks dude! you've made me day.

thats easy

search for fire arrows

eventually you will find this:

; Fire arrow upgrade

	End

right above it add:

Behavior = WeaponSetUpgrade WeaponSetUpgradeModuleTag
  TriggeredBy = Upgrade_GondorForgedBlades
	End

then in the ranger horde commandset add:

5 = Command_PurchaseUpgradeGondorForgedBlades

where will I find this? its not in the GondorInfantry config.

Is this located in the Gondor infantry file or the Gondor Hordes file?

I changed it but the game crashed. I think i'll probs just leave it...

it said something about an error and how Rangers shouldn't be eligable for the upgrade.

theres no such thing as not eligable, i could give the upgrade to a troll if i wanted... did you check for typos? capitalization? maybe left out an End? dont give up, keep tyring if you fail try try again keep it up, and soon you'll be a great modder, just have a little faith in yourself

I did what was said and put it above the bow upgrade. however the game crashed when i did that. Is there anywhere else I need to put in the upgrade info for the rangers?

Did you make the upgraded weaponset? Right under the normal weaponset

aha! not yet! i'll check that out.

right i'm able to purchase the upgrade and it says +50 damage when I highlight the unit.

However the Rangers now either do no damage when they attack or they can't attack at all. ( i'm not sure which becuase their idle stance is an attack)

I deleted this from the Rangers information... does that help explain why they won't do damage/fight?

That is the upgraded weaponset, so that they can use the Forged blades...
