Well, this isn't exactly artwork, but I'll post it here for you all to read. My story is called Dead London, and this... is the first chapter:

Chapter 1: A Radio's Message
The year is 2005, present day in fact. As the weapons of modern warfare begin to change, being pressured by the US's government... the UK began investing in chemical and biological warfare. They wanted something deadly, effective, and cheap. They wanted something that would change the face of warfare as we knew it. I suppose some could say that in many ways they had achieved exactly what they wanted. But at prices no one was prepared to pay...

“Hey, hey… wake up mate, I hear them.” Toon whispers.
“Wha, wha, what…?” Austin repeats rising from his sleep.
“I can hear them!” Toon whispers again.

More awake, and hearing what he’d said, Austin rises from his sleeping bag more awake than ever. He stands very quickly and peeks out of the window. Sounds of gargling and moaning become more noticeable. They’re getting closer.

“You want to handle this one?” Toon asks.
“Nah, they’re all yours.” Austin says with an "I just want to sleep" look.

Toon lifts himself from his foldable chair and walks to the door. He opens it with a creek and takes a few steps outside. He sees the three infected staggering toward him from farther down the street.

He lifts his Colt .45 and drops all of them with one well-placed round to the head. Satisfied with the result, he holsters his pistol and takes a step back inside. He closes the door and walks to the back fridge for a can of Kronik.

“How many of ‘em were out there this time?” Austin asks.
“Only three this time, less and less every day.” Toon says with confidence.

“Listen, I’ve been thinking about move-“ Austin gets cut off.
“We’ve got everything right here mate, fridge, food, water, why move!?”
“Toon, we haven’t seen a non-infected in weeks, I’m starting to think it’d be a good idea to link up with others.”
“I just don’t want to go looking for something that we don’t 100% need, or know exists for that matter!” Toon shouts.
“Fine, we’ll hold up here…” Austin says, laying back down on his sleeping bag. He falls into a deep sleep.

Morning comes, but not as birds chirping, or Ben chiming, but as dead silence. No one’s heard a bird since the virus struck, and no person since the evacuation. But he is awake now nonetheless. He sits up.

“Morning” Toon says, not looking up from the radio.
“Eh…. Morning…” Austin says, scratching his head.
“Any luck with the radio?”
“Nah, nothing, can’t even get a signal, just static!” Toon says frustrated.

Toon stands up from the chair and lifts the radio off the table. He walks over to the window.

He winds up into a pitching form preparing to toss the radio out of the window. He straightens his arms in front of him, lifts his leg, and leans back. His arm flies back and then forward. The radio begins to soar forward.

As it’s just at the edge of his finger tips, a blaring voice begins to shout out from the radio.

“I don’t …“ the man begins to say.

Toon, hearing the voice, barely grabs onto the antenna and snatches it back into his hands. He turns up the volume where the man continues to talk:

“…know if anyone can hear me… but there are still survivors inside the city. We’re held up in the area around Piccadilly Circus. If you can hear this… we are alive and are looking for other to gather up with.”

Austin rises from his seat and says:

“I fucking knew it!” with a huge grin on his face.

Toon turns off the radio and takes the Colt from his holster. He lifts it and cocks the slide, feeding a bullet into the chamber.

He looks over at Austin and with a small smile says:

“We’re going to Piccadilly Circus…”

To be continued…

Coments/Suggestions? I'll post some more later if you guys like 'em
