For all those not intelligent enough to realise why the mod is called The Great War is called such, I will explain
"The Great War" was the name given at the time to the conflict now known as World War I.
The High Imp is no longer a member of TGW btw.
The Mod IS NOT repeat IS NOT dead. It is very much alive. I am the chief modeller, and i have added some units ingame (tanks mainly, tracks animated too) and we are progressing at quite a rate now. What we do need however is an animator, nothing fancy, just the props on the planes, the factory doors, wheels, recoil that sort of thing. Also an infantry animator would be useful
The Sides are
Britain and her commonwealth
France
Germany and Austria-Hungary
The USA
Tanks will be heavily armed and armoured, invulnerable to bullets but slow and ponderous. Rifles will be lethal and accurate but their rate of fire is slow. Machine Guns will be powerful, fast firing but innacurate. Expect breaking through to be exceedingly difficult without the correct usage of combined arms.
Heres the latest model, the Sopwith Dolphin
So i hope despite the high imps foolish decision to provide you with little or no information, you will re-consider The Great War.

Also
Name: Royal Aircraft Factory/Folland Scout Experimental No.5 (SE.5a)
Role: Air Superiority
Nationality: British
NOTE: This model was actually made second, after the Camel, but it was so badly scarred by mesh errors (Crappy Milkshape 1.7.0) that i needed to remake it.
Now a small decision to make. I could call the British Air Force quits now, Air General and all. But giving the Air General only one unique aircraft (Dolphin) when he gets no stealth, laser or counter measure ect seems a bit, well stingy. So my other plan is to give the Air General the Sopwith Snipe (like an advanced Camel) and the Sopwith Salamander (Armored Attack Plane) too. What do you think?
Name: Sopwith F.3a 'Dolphin'
Role: Air Superiority
Nationality: British
NOTE: This will be the Air General (Trenchard) replacement for the SE.5a. It is the most heavily armed fighter aircraft, as heavily armed as the Gotha G.V Bomber!

Small Airfield - Holds 8 Scouts (Fighters)
Large Airfield - Holds 6 Light Bombers/Recon or Scouts
Aerodrome - Holds 4 of any Aircraft (Max of 2 aerodromes per side)
This way you get the size requirements for large aircraft across and it means if only your aerodrome is left (other airfields blown up) you can still build Scouts.
Update:
Fixed 75mm AA FlaK Gun
Redoubt Trench
20 lb Cooper Bomb
100 lb Coppernose Bomb
Lewis AA MG Mount
Parrabellum/Chauchat AA MG Mount
Heavy Tank Mk IX (Troop Transport)

You may wish to check their forum as well, as that is where many of the discussions take place for mods. They have a new layout since I last stopped by their site, and they are definatly still working on the mod as they just released a new in-game screenshot not too long ago.
