I don't really see the connection with terrorism though :p

all he's saying is he shouldn't live in fear of something that may or may not happen that he has no power to change.

for example they are saying now the london bombers had no ties with anyone, they were normal looking guys with jobs and friends , for the police and intelingence they just appeared out of the blue. no one could have known about or prevented the attack last year.

it's not always the case, but sometimes if it's gonna happen it's gonna happen, sadly. :p
the only thing to do is just go about your business.
apologising to the world on behalf of my country for the existence of Brussel sprouts and Jean Claude Vandame

work is sacred...so don't go near it.

Not uber bad, but yeah, its not all good.

OLD SIG
When history witnesses a great change Razgriz reveals itself,
first as a dark demon. As a demon it uses it power to rain death upon the land,
and then it dies. However after a period of slumber Razgriz returns
As the demon sleeps, man turns on man.
Its own blood, and madness soon cover the earth.
From the depths of despair awaken the Razgriz.
Its raven wings ablaze in majestic light.
Amidst the eternal waves of time
From a ripple of change shall the storm rise
Out of the abyss peer the eyes of a demon
Behold the Razgriz, its wings of black sheath
The demon soars through the dark skies
Fear and Death trail its shadow beneath
Until Men united wield a hallowed sabre
In Final Reckoning, the beast is slain.
Razgriz intrerpretation

Biological should be something like 90% for everyone on the planet. The world is so globalized that a good, well engineered virus could wipe out 80% of the population.

Now that IS a load of bollocks. Bird flu attacks birds. Even *if* it mutates, given enough time, the human immune system'll make an antibody for just about every foreign invading body. It has one for HIV strains. The bad news is that it attacks the cells that stimulate the production of those antibodies...

I know what you're saying about 'if it's gonna happen, it's gonna happen', but you're hardly going to be happy as Larry, shrug-your-shoulders-and-walk-it-off if you've just had your fucking legs blown apart from your torso...

Not really. The problem with this is that the immune system is reactionary, mutations in the surface proteins of the virus capsule increases the host range of the virus and also throws a spanner into the mix. Any antibodies formed become totally useless against that new viral particle, as the host proteins have switched or mutated. HIV can actually flip its viral capsule and expose different proteins and switches these randomly, vastly increasing its immunity from any human synthesized antibodies. The Spanish Flu, which is believed to be much like what bird flu will be like when it has the ability to infect humans through human to human transmission, was so deadly because it had a high mutation rate and killed people very quickly. The human immune system is hardly perfect, it's ineffective against most viruses but really kicks bacterial ass.

Risk:
12% NUCLEAR
16% BIOLOGICAL
4% CONVENTIONAL

Your above scores indicate your relative risk in each of the 3 main types of terrorism. A score above 50% means you are living with the real possibility of death by that type of terrorism. A score above 75% represents extreme danger. Below 25% means you are most likely safe.

Risk:
12% NUCLEAR
33% BIOLOGICAL
11% CONVENTIONAL

TO REDUCE CHANCE OF NUCLEAR ATTACK
- Avoid large cities (especially political or financial centers) at all costs
- Avoid extremely large sporting events
- Avoid suburbs of extreme large cities

TO REDUCE CONVENTIONAL DEATH ODDS:
- Avoid buses and subways
- Avoid suspicious people
- Avoid establishments owned by targeted groups
- Avoid exploding bombs

TO REDUCE BIO RISK:
- Avoid contact with other people
- Own a shack in the woods - or a cool boat
- Avoid contact with lots of mail (think: Anthrax)
- Avoid drinking tap water

My test tracked 3 variables How you compared to other people your age and gender:

You scored higher than 99% on nuclear
You scored higher than 99% on biological
You scored higher than 99% on conventional

Oh. Freaking. Crap.
