TD music only, while the others are good, this is TD only, so it makes sense.
Natus 3.4

Corrupt program now requires constant reboots and does not function at all in majority of instances. Designed with a web browser component to replace AOL, it has exceeded our expectations by being more crashy and unreliable and with worse tech support. We didn't think it was physically possible! A general product recall is advised; when it does function it seems to require background processes Girl 0.1Beta to stave off further crashes. Will someone PLEASE remove that code, and insert Backbone 1.9 in its place? That's assuming we even bother to continue this prog.

Currently Klepacki's music is in...
We have no plans to change that, unless serious copyright issues are getting in our way.

Maybe you should use mp3's of rock bands.

I'm listening to Audioslave right now.
I like The Hives A LOT and it would be great to hear them in CNC. Another musician to look up is Mr. Oizo. Mr. Oizo has some of the weirdest (but greatest) music I've ever heard. Last great song I need is Sandstorm by Darude. Greatest techno ever.

Playing Generals and Winamp simultaniously slows down my pc a ton. I'll be getting a new one but not for a while, so it'd be great to hear that music in the game.

The issue is, if by some longshot the developers from either game (td or gen) helped you out, there'd be licensing issues galore because the product might be copyrighted.

Thanks for your time.

Ah, the thought of playing Generals to the ring of Warfare... now that would be fun.

The music from Tiberian Dawn was extermely low-quality (22khz 8-bit mono IIRC). There are higher quality versions available, such as from the Tiberian Dawn soundtrack, and non-downloadable versions on Frank Klepacki's website. These ones are 44khz 16-bit stereo. You might want to contact EA and Frank about the possibility of getting high quality versions of the original Tiberian Dawn music for your mod.

I'd wait until you have made more progress though, I think they'd be more likely to say yes if you had a working demo that was fairly complete.

Too bad Westwood isn't around anymore, with EA being a megacorporation, it might be harder to convince them... If they would even entertain the idea at all.

Don't worry too much about EA, they're too busy to care. I even doubt whether they have any rights to the music - after all, it's Frank's, not theirs. Just include the music (I can send you the whole bunch if you want it) and if they complain, just don't do it. Won't be too much trouble I think.

I talked to Frank about it a while back, on an unrelated topic to this mod (I wanted to know if I was allowed to download the music off his website). According to Frank Klepacki, EA owns the rights to the music, which is why he doesn't offer it available for download on his web site.

I doubt they'd care if you used it, unless you go rub it right under their noses. I know Blitz2 and RenAlert both use C&C music, and they have a lot more publicity than SD does. And they didn't run into any trouble AFAIK.

i am going to release it with my mod, if you want to see what happens you can wait and see what happens to me, i am also using some videos, like immoman said im doubtful anything will happen and if it is whats the most that ea could do to you honestly a bunch of teens or peeps around 20 making a mod for a game that uses music from the same companys game that they dont sell anymore, i doubt anything worse than getting your mod takin away would happen
