overlapping C&C resources

GenDev, C&C Central, Editing Source and the new AI Improvments. Along with all the C&C forums.
I was just going to make a new set of C&C editing forums, with lots of links to the sites. Now, I think i'll make a matching 'hub' site too.
The hub will link everything together. All sites in the hub will have to have a button linking to the hub. Hopfully this will solve my dis-like of the overlapping.
Quick poll: What name for the hub?
- Hub
- Nucleus
- Dilution
- Engineering
- Diverse
- Industrial
Do not suggest new names.

Anyway, I vote for "Nucleus", because I like physics.

I think about all the polls i've made and come to the conclusion that forum polls suck. Thay just absorb all the possable discussion and compat it into a single number. Far to Borg for my tastes.
'C&C Nucleus' sounds like it would work. Though i'll wait for more votes ;)2

Too cute! | Server Status: If you can read this, it's up |Well, when it comes to writing an expository essay about counter-insurgent tactics, I'm of the old school. First you tell them how you're going to kill them. Then you kill them. Then you tell them how you just killed them.

It will share it's name and style with the new collective C&C forums i talked about in the network staff forum a while ago.
If the news export script ever works, the hub site will use that to collect news titles from each site and link back to them for the full story.
I should be able to make a good layout based on the word "Nucleus" too

If all the sites were merged together it would be 1 huge site. This would be like PlanetCNC. A nice, simple, userfriendly site with lots of content.
Having lots of seperate sites gives each a personality. Each a dedicated webmaster. A focus.
However if the user wants a Gen modding tutorial, he wont find one a ES, so he has to go somewhere else. Suddenly theres confusion and complexity.
Another point is the forums, people are posting Generals questions in Central's forums, this in thats forums and so on. Topics should not need moving, it should be clear what goes where. At the moment it aint.
An way to fix all these problems is a hub site and a dynamic forum. Gone will be the days of confusion and complexity.
(PlanetCNC example does not include downloads)
