Well in fact FA2 is fecked up, it can’t recognise the new pal files so everything is bright blue, green & pink etc. most ppl may find it hard to make there own maps.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Well, I think it's ok if it'll look like that in FA, but it'll look what it's supposed to be when you play it, right?

Note* that terrain uses a new pal.

Where did you put the pals? that might be the problem...

eh... :)

Are you saying I have to use the same pal for every terrain type, or it only works with the isotem.pal

Well any way I’m not to bothered about it myself, just that any one else may find it hard to make there own maps...

Well, if it's gonna be difficult for us to make maps, I hope you have plans to add these maps in D-Day. :)

1. the old 'Paris Revisited' map (with D-Day's civilian structures of course)
2. Stalingrad
3. Kursk
4. Berlin
5. Bastogne
6. El Alemeine
7. Tobruk
8. Monte Cassino
9. Iwo Jima
10. Bataan
11. Leyte Gulf (restricted only to Naval War)

Actually, perhaps you guys can make maps similar to Sudden Strike or Blitzkreig's...they look fairly well-done for skirmish. :p

I'm not going to reuse any old YR maps (they suck!)

Most of the maps you have suggested are already planed & some have even been started on. I would like to point out that I use street maps & any photos I can get my hands on to make the layout of the maps accurate(ish), this also makes them a lot harder to do tho...

I know, I meant only the layout of the 'Paris Revisited' map's with D-Day's civilian structures on it. There will be a Paris map, right?

Oh, and if you need a Bataan layout, let me know...I plan to go back to the memorial and I remember they have a small scale model of the whole area. Might as well snap some shots of the scale model if you need so.

The RA2 Paris map looks nothing like the real Paris... & yes I have already started on a new Paris map.

I use anything I can get my hands on so plz do take some pics

Ah... well I don’t see why you think I would laugh ;) I’m planing to make a new cachemd.mix for D-day soon any way so it should fix it.

I'm not using any units from Blitz. Just buildings, infantry & some terrain textures...

If you put a new cachemd.mix in the RA2 folder AFAIK it will override the original.

Thememd isn't in the lang/RA2 mix, it's on the CD. The game doesn't recognise a new thememd cos it’s looking for it on the CD & not the RA2 folder...
