Visual Basic is weak... Its nice if your going to make some pretty programs... but other than that, VB.net isn't all too useful, not to mention freaking expensive. I coded VB.net all last year and now I'm strickly java and c++ (and asm).

VB.Net is "freaking expensive" I have version 2005. For all newbies who want to try get SharpDevelop. Im almost positive it does .Net, It's basically just a opensource VB.Net

Well whoever doesnt want to pay for it ill give it to them. Anyway obviously you didnt do your research because you do one thing in C++ i betcha i could do it in vb.net, plus its 100 times easier to learn.

While there are good coders and lame coders in any language (self evident, and proven by thedailywtf.com), VB is just beyond silly in many areas. Why, it wasn't until VB.NET that M$ added such a simple thing as short-circuiting logic...

Using C++ for a project back-end and then VB for a GUI can result in a fast program with a nice GUI.

I'd want to see a forum for Java before I see a forum for VB, C# or any other M$ rubbish, thank you.

Ugh, Java makes VB look like fun and interesting work. Java is the last language anyone should bother with.

Well, when it comes to writing an expository essay about counter-insurgent tactics, I'm of the old school. First you tell them how you're going to kill them. Then you kill them. Then you tell them how you just killed them.
