Guys, if you had a religion and you went somewhere that didn't tolerate it, you'd still practice it, if you went to live in the USA you would still (I expect) support England at soccer matches etc. The only reason they still practice their religions is because they know they are safe to in our country, if we threatened to stone them to death for practicing another religion or behaving differently they wouldn't come here.

Also CJ - you completely misintepreted my point about them working for less money, they will do the work that we don't want the jobs that make our own people rich by exploiting immigrant labourers.

Even though you disagree with 'bending over backwards' the only way our countries have gotten so rich is by exploiting other countries, you could have been born in any other country, you had no control - so why should have chances someone else shouldn't? no matter where you live?

Just because you are living 'in a country' shouldn't necessarily mean you have to be pro-active within the society, again take what I'm saying with a grain of salt because I don't necessarily believe in everything I say, but I am approaching things from a 'divine right' angle.

Everything should be fair, but life is not - so we get anomylies. The media and everyone else just tosses a hell of a lot of exaggeration and fear into the mix because at the end of the day it's all comes down to our genes. Naturally we want to preserve our genes, so naturally we will want to keep the people around us as similar as possible...

I find it hypocritical to succumb to our selfish genes telling us to fear the unknown and then suggest that people are 'invading' our land. The concept of nature and society sort of hits a direct conflict there.

Nature deals with the situation the same way. Animals and thier packs mark thier area and defend it to the death. Because this is there food supply and mating ground/group.

Are we any differant, well we should be more civilised but instincts ARE instincts...

We don't have selfish genes. We have society.
