Official Judges Marks:
Concept - 28/35 - Hard to make , interesting.
Scheme - 10/15 - We'd like it darker , unfortunately it shines in 3 directions.
Details - 22/25 - We noticed nice engines and cannons on it's back ,but sometimes it looks flat.
Technical Details - 17/25 - No HVA File included (It's necessary)

Overall - 77/100

Now you know that the Winner of 5th Voxel Competition is CARNIVEAN but you still don't know how big is the difference between 1st and 5th place...
Also you don't know the most important thing... How does Carnivean's voxel look

*sigh* just accept it and be done with it. The ones who entered the competition agreed with who the judges were, else they would not have entered. Just trust their judgement and opinion.
It's not only about how the voxel looks. It's also about originality, concept, etc.

It's not about winning, it's about the fun you had making the voxel.

with me somewhere in it. (No idea where, I haven't even seen my own voxel in game. )

actually blaat, the judges weren't decided on until after the competition, and i'm sure that the contestenats entered it with the hopes that whoever ran it would allow only the best judges to participate.

anyway, yer I'm suprised I did better then raminator's as I stated before, however why don't we all focus not on how bad we did but on how well Carnivean
did, he obviously did a pretty amazing vxl to beet ll our amazing attemps. If you don't beleive that our attempts were good then explain to me why the lowest score given was 71, that was the lowest score. personally I think we all did well but we shouldn't focus on the fact that we didn't win. and if you really want to focus on the fact that you didn't win then it's not because you had a bad vxl, it's because another persons vxl was considered better.

Nice voxel MadHQ but why is the actual missile that is fired much more fat than in the unit as it moves in position to launch?

and hell no, that voxel wouldn't be eliminated in preliminaries besides it would have won more concept points for uniqueness than usual voxels which is what it all comes down to as that gives the highest points of all judging points which MK came up with afaik.

That's not very nice Rami. Christmas should be wished to all, isn't that partly what christmas is about?

And Mad, this competition doesn't involve your voxel. So why you keep saying the judges were unfair is beyond me.

At first I must apologise for this what happened. It's my mistake that I didn't keep an eye on it.
When I tested raminator's and Carnivean's voxels I asked Mevitar to check others (Rattuskid's , Yurisarmy's and Rawlo's).
The problem was minor for during the judging that I received it only in few directions where it looks cool.Unfortunately we were judging according to those screens.
Once again big sorry for those who feel tricked. It was my big mistake.

Just because my job is Hive admin, doens't mean I've got nothing to do with RA2/YR, or that I don't know anything about it. For all you know I could be playing or modding it in my spare time..

Locked until further notice. The last thing we need is an argument to further break out.

While if I were judging, my thoughts would probably be similar to Carni's given that I have not seen his voxel yet, the judge's decisions are final.

I think the main bone of contention, other than the obvious disorgnanisation of what the judges were judging, is that the Concept criterion was favoured far too strongly, in the view of myself and many others. The quality of the voxel should probably be equally important to the originality. As much as I love seeing weird and wonderful creations, I'd rather see a familiar unit that looks good and detailed as opposed to something really weird that looks messy and rushed.

Anyway, LOXORED.
